Report – C Test Assessor Training

On 19th April, Area 5 ran a C Test Assessor Training evening at one of their Pony Club linked Centres Cheshire Riding Stables.

The evening was oversubscribed and included coaches booked on from as far as Anglesey, also included a visiting Coach from neighbouring Area 4 and our very own Area Representative Meg Green. It was also good that 3 of the staff from CRS joined us on the course, as they were so professional and made sure riders and ponies had been well prepared.

We had a fantastic welcome from Phillipa and her team at CRS, the yard was busy when we arrived with lots of children coming for their weekly riding sessions.

As part of the training course we used members and ponies from CRS for a ridden session in the beautiful outdoor Arena.  The group of trainee Assessors were able to discuss and watch the riders directed by Area 5 Coach/Assessor Rosemary Clarke.

The members demonstrated a good level of horsemanship and riding skills, it was a real pleasure to see such great members and ponies.

We look forward to coming back to CRS really soon!

Thank you … Katy Powell Jones

You can pause and return to the course at a later time depending on any time constraints or you can complete the course within a couple of hours. It is also accepted by other equestrian member bodies.

Interested? You can enrol for the online course today by clicking here.

Please note: your face to face certificate must not have expired by more than 1 month before completing the online refresher.

Russell Guire Road Show – Reaseheath College – Wednesday 11th October

As you may be aware we have a Russell Guire Road show coming up to Reaseheath College on Wednesday 11th October.

This does count at CPD for all coaches and makes a very interesting evening to attend. We received great feedback from the ones which were ran earlier on in the year and the audience was not just coaches but also members, parents and people who were not even associated to Pony Club.

This is a great opportunity to see Russell’s research close up and for a bargain price of £20 exclusively for PC, if you were to attend a day with him the ticket price will start from over £100 each!

Hopefully see you there on the evening.

Kind Regards,

Katie
