Young Event Horse Series

About the Young Horse Series: -

The Eventing Committee introduced this new Eventing competition in 2012.  Due to its success the Young Event Horse Series was continued for 2013.  Open to Members and Associate Members aged 15 years or over with horses or ponies aged 5, 6 or 7 years, who compete at Level 3 (Novice) Eventing Competitions, this competition has been designed to promote the correct training and provide an opportunity for older Members to bring on and compete their young horses and ponies.
It is simple to enter your horse if you are eligible.  Just download a Results Card and have it signed by the Event Organiser on the day.  Full rules, and 2013 results are available below.

To be run strictly under current Pony Club Eventing Rules.  Thefollowing additional rules will also apply:


Eligibility
1. Open to Members and Associate Members aged 15 years or over on the day of the competition.
2. Horses/Ponies must be aged 5, 6 or 7 years on 1st January of the current year.
3. Horses/Ponies must not have run at BE100, Pony Club Level 4 (Intermediate) or above by the day of the competition.
4. Horses/Ponies must not have been placed 1st – 6th individually in any Pony Club Eventing Area (qualifying) Competition or the Championships at Level 3 or above before 1st January of the current year.
5. Horses/Ponies must not have been placed 1st – 6th in a BE90 competition before 1st January of the current year.


Competitions
6. To be run at any Pony Club Level 3 Eventing competition, including Level 3 (Novice) Area Competitions and Championships (riders must ensure that they are eligible for Area Competitions and Championships).
7. Having completed a Level 3 competition, eligible riders must get a Young Event Horse Series Card signed by the Event Organiser / Secretary to verify their results.  Cards will be available to download from www.pcuk.org or can be obtained by sending a SAE to The Pony Club Office.
8. For every Level 3 competition they complete, riders should forward a completed Young Event Horse Series Card to The Pony Club office.  A photocopy of the horse/pony’s passport, clearly displaying the date/year of birth must be sent with the first card that is submitted.  Cards should be sent within one month of the competition.
