Tetrathlon is an exciting, sociable and athletic Pony Club discipline (see The Pony Club Website section : Tetrathlon ) , similar to the Olympic Sport of Modern Pentathlon (see Pentathlon GB ) , we have active teams in the younger age groups: U8 / Mini / Junior and Senior age groups, and Sophie Pedlar from the Belvoir placed 4th and 3rd at the GB Intermediate Championships, now competes at PC Open level and can help younger members.
The 2017 rule book explains the different phases and has a useful set of points tables at the back, it can be downloaded for free as a pdf – click here – or can be bought for £3 from here.
Shoot 0.177 target air pistols under supervision from 8 years old. (branch loan guns are available on request)
Swim as far as they can in a given time, 2 or 3 minutes, to gain points per metre.
Run 1000 or 1500m , their time converts to points.
Ride a XC course, where they aim for a max score of 1400 points, minus any deductions for stops etc.
Pony Club Triathlons are organised over the Winter ( Shoot / Swim / Run)
Regular Training is available, often joining up with neighbouring branches:

Five Boroughs Pentathlon Club / South Notts PC at Bingham, Vale of Belvoir ( Friday night Run / Shoot / Fence)
