Please see the dress rules and guidance for Pony Club rallies and competitions – full details in rule books.
For all activities make sure your tack is clean and sound (no frayed stitching, worn or cracked leather etc). Dress and turnout as per the rules. Hats must be checked and tagged before you attend any PC rally or competition. It is your responsibility to get this done.
The correct dress code for ALL rallies is beige jodhpurs, brown or black boots, (short boots with gaiters up to the age of 16) hacking jacket or blue Pony Club sweat shirt. PC ties and badges to be worn. Hoodies, anoraks, coloured jodhpurs, “bling” on person or pony is not acceptable at PC activities. Suitable waterproofs are permissible in wet weather.
HAT RULE – It is mandatory for all members to wear a protective helmet manufactured to one of the minimum standards. It must bear the CE mark and a quality symbol, either the BSI Kitemark, the SAI Global symbol or the official Snell label with number. The CE symbol on its own is not sufficient to ensure consistent standard of manufacture. The PAS015:1998 and the Snell E2001 meet higher impact criteria and therefore give more protection. Hat must be tagged and these may be obtained from CLARE HERRING. For XC riding only skull hats with no fixed peak are allowed.
SPURS – may only be worn with written permission of the District Commissioner on the advice of the Chief Instructor. Anyone wishing to wear spurs must contact Rosie James and Caroline Peatfield
