What is a Rally? These are tuition sessions, can be either mounted or dismounted and are open to all Pony Club members. The rallies form the backbone of the Pony Club. They give you the opportunity to meet and work with other members of your own age. Qualified instructors will teach you in small groups. We try to group children of similar ability, and age with similar size ponies/horses. This is not always easy to do, so do please bear with us if we don’t always get it right. It is most important to ring the rally organiser asap when the rally has been advertised to book your place. Dress is dark or cream jodphurs, PC sweatshirt.
RALLIES- see dates emailed to members
Bookings for rallies will be taken from one month in advance.
Rally Cancellation Policy-
Reminder: If you need to cancel a booked rally place you must inform the organiser as soon as you can and in any case before times are published, if it is later than this the rally will be charged. Late cancellation has many effects, it means others miss out on a place, it puts pressure on the organisers to re organise the groups and then resend a lot of text messages and because the instructors have been booked for the number of members who have applied it costs the club money.
Rallies take the form of an hour’s lesson in a group of between 4 and 6 children. Groups will be put together from the members who apply to attend and your times will be sent you a few days before the rally.
Don’t forget to be eligible to compete in the area competitions – you MUST have completed 3 rallies on the horse you will be riding before the closing date for entries.
