Rally Attire – update

In our previous post about rally attire we mentioned that Pony Club were considering relaxing the rule about wearing small stud earring at Rallies and other events. This is NOT the case - the 2017 PC rules do NOT allow for the wearing of jewellery. This was decided by the PC Equestrian Council.

Sorry for any confusion caused. Thank you.

Lunge Training

We had a great ‘Learn to Lunge’ session last week at Upper Norton, taught brilliantly by Karen and with Larry cooperating most generously as the demo pony. We were delighted to be joined by 2 members of the North Hereford Branch. A lot of fun and a great, safe introduction. We hope to run more of these sessions over the next year , for Members (15 years+ or B test) who are aiming at the PC Lunge test or who just wish to learn.

Rally Attire – please read!

Please may we remind all Members to dress appropriately for rallies as set out in the ‘Dress Code & CoTPC Merchandise’ section of the Website.

In particular, we would ask that hats are tagged as meeting acceptable standards (white PC or red BE tag), hoodies are not worn and hair is secured appropriately (long hair in hairnet).

Pony Club badges with appropriate felt should be worn when a jacket is worn but are also useful in informing the instructor as to which test you are working towards so are to be encouraged.

Hats without fixed peak and body protectors should be worn for cross country riding.

Rule changes due to come into effect in 2017 permit the wearing of small stud earrings provided the Member and Parent/Guardian take full responsibility for any injury incurred as a result. Medical armbands and long sleeves may also no longer be required for cross country though sleeves should cover the shoulder.

We would ask that Members adhere to the existing rules for the moment until these rule changes have been confirmed and we will provide an update in due course.

Merchandise can be ordered from Debbie Darby via the Website. Thank you!
