  • Children must be accompanied at camp by a responsible adult at all times.

Hats must be ‘tagged’ with a WHITE tag to show they have been checked by a senior Pony Club official.
  • Correct dress – long sleeved shirt, Pony Club tie, jodhpurs, jodhpur boots, waterproof coat, gloves, body protector, hairnets for girls.

PC CAMP T-SHIRTS

We will be getting 2016 PC Camp T Shirts printed, possibly with names of the children attending camp. They will be in CHPC red, and useful for CHPC activities where long sleeves are not needed.  The cost will £10 per T shirt.  If you would like your child to have one, please indicate this on your booking form.

RIDES/TIMETABLE

  • Each ride will have approximately 8 children of a similar level.  If your child can attend at least one Pre-Camp Rally it will help us assess which ride they will be happiest in.
  • The Camp runs from 10.30am to 3pm.  Morning riding starts at 10.30am with a short break for buns, with lunch at 1pm.
  • After lunch there will be more riding, stable management or games and finish at 3pm. If your child needs to finish at lunchtime, please let your instructor know at the beginning of that day.
  • At lunchtime, ponies will need to be either put back into or tied up securely outside your trailer/lorry.  Children and parents are very welcome to come down to the barn to join the rest of Junior Camp for lunch.
  • TUESDAY:  lessons, rides, games, stable management and lots of fun.
  • WEDNESDAY:  children ride across Stowell Park down to the river where they will have fun and games with lunch.  If you have pre-booked your lunch then this will be taken down to the picnic site, if not you will need to bring a packed lunch with you.
  • THURSDAY:  Morning  games and instruction.  At approximately 2.30-3pm there will be a presentation of prizes in the barn.

LUNCH/REFRESHMENTS

  • A daily packed lunch can be pre-ordered for £4.00 (THESE WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE ON THE DAY)
  • Tuck Shop

BOOKING

  • If you have not yet booked in please send the Mini Camp Booking Form (to be found on the CHPC website) as instructed on that form

ARRIVAL

On arrival please drive straight through the farmyard to the parking field beyond.  Tack up your pony and ride up to the top of the field, through the gate.  Mini Camp will be held in the roped areas on the right where you will be greeted by your instructors

PARKING

We are very lucky to be able to use Oxpens for Camp – it is a working farmyard and therefore absolutely NO PARKING is allowed in the yard by the barn or on the opposite side of the drive to the barn at any time.  Harvest tractors use the area at all times and must have unfettered access.  If we do not adhere to this we greatly jeopardise being able to hold camp here in the future.  Please park only in the allocated parking field beyond the farmyard.  We cannot be held responsible for trailers left at camp over night.

PHOTOGRAPHS

A professional photographer will be taking photographs of the children and their ponies at some time during Camp.  If you do not want any photos of your child/pony to go on the CHPC website, please tick the appropriate box on the Booking Form.

DOGS

Dogs are not allowed at camp.

BEHAVIOUR

Volunteers run Camp to ensure every participant has an enjoyable time, and so bad behaviour and language will not be acceptable and may result in the person concerned being asked to leave the camp.

DISCLAIMER

The owners of Oxpens Farm and the organisers of the Camp for themselves, their servants, agents, employees do not accept liability for any damage, whether occasioned by the negligence or breach of contract or statutory duty of themselves, their servants, agents, employees or those connected with the Camp or otherwise however arising.

If you have any queries or concerns please talk to the organisers as soon as possible, so that we can help resolve any difficulties at the earliest opportunity.

We look forward to a fun and enjoyable camp 2016

for everyone involved.
