Dress Code

For rallies we like our members and their ponies to be SAFE, NEAT and TIDY.  It is not a requirement for everything to be brand new but would ask that the following should be adhered to:

MOUNTED RALLIES – YOU

 

HEADA riding hat with secure harness, tagged with a new white tag if you have the old purple tag please can you get your instructor to check if it is the new standard these standards can be found on the Pony Club website by DC/Secretary. Hat covers black or navy blue. Girls hair tidy in a hairnet. No jewellery may be worn
GLOVESPlain coloured gloves
JACKETS and SHIRTSWhite or blue long sleeved shirt with PC tie. Tweed jacket or PC sweatshirt. PC badge worn with test felt behind it on left lapel of jacket. If wet a plain waterproof coat may be worn
JODHPURS; CHAPSBuff or cream colour. If chaps are worn these should be a plain dark colour with no tassles
BOOTSJodhpur boots or riding boots - CLEAN please
BODY PROTECTORSThese are compulsory when jumping cross country fences and must have a 2009 purple label as these are the most up to date requirements

MOUNTED RALLIES – YOUR PONY

 

BRIDLESCheck regularly for wear and tear. Plain browbands
SADDLESCheck for wear and tear. Numnahs should be plain colours. Check stitching on stirrup leathers. Stirrups are correct size for child's boots
PONYYour pony should be groomed and well turned out

DISMOUNTED RALLIES AND ACHIEVEMENT BADGE RALLIES

You should be tidy with hair tied back, no jewellery.  Pony club shirt and tie with either a jacket or Pony Club sweatshirt.  Plain trousers and sturdy footwear.  Riding hat.

Please arrive in good time

After the rally – remember to thank your instructor and DC or person organising the rally

Offer to help move jumps if necessary
