Helping

The Pony Club provides a fantastic framework to learn all you need to know about caring for, riding and competing your pony or horse.  This is achieved through:
* Mounted rallies

* Stable management sessions

* Pony Club achievement tests and badges,

* Competitions including all disciplines and team events

* The highlight of any pony clubber’s year – Camp.

All of these activities are arranged and organised by your hard-working committee who are all volunteers and most are Pony Club parents too. As well as providing the opportunity for the learning and fun; fund-raising is an all-important part of our 3 big competitions each year.  Planning for these events begins two months in advance and involves many people.  On the day of any event – helpers are vital.

This is where YOU can help.  Don’t wait to be asked – volunteer now! There is a huge variety of roles suitable for all ages and levels of equine knowledge.  From serving tea/coffee, fence judging on the X/C course, dressage writing, tack checking and stewarding.

A warm welcome is guaranteed and refreshments provided so please phone or email our Club Secretary – Jill Harwood on:

07830 134860 or jillybomber@btinternet.com

The funds raised are used to help subsidise rallies, tests and camp and provide social outings eg. annual trip to Olympia.

Remember – friends that you make at Pony Club will be friends for life – for the parents as well as the members.

Pony Club is run by volunteers for the benefit of all members.
