Tetrathalon

Jo Stout is looking to put together some teams for the forthcoming Tri’ and Tetrathalons. Please will anyone who is interested, or thinks they might be interested, please email Jo on joanne.stout@btinternet.com or call or text her on 07876 688 317.  See further information on the structure of competitions, eligibility etc on the Members page (Members / Being a Member / Teams & Competitions).

Own pistol is not necessary as the pony club have 2 pistols that you can borrow. Jo Stout runs regular shooting practice – anyone that is interested in a shoot practice to contact Jo asap.

26th February – South Trent Triathlon
1st April – Quorn Triathlon, Radcliffe college
14th/15th April – BarlowTetrathlon, Worksop – cancelled
28th/29th April – Fitzwilliam Tetrathlon – Fitz Tet Schedule 28 April 2012
26th/27th May – Belvoir and South Notts including Area 6 Champ and Mini Tri – see Non-Fernie Events Page for Schedules
9th/10th June -Junior Regional Tetrathlon, Milton Keynes
28th/29th July – Cottesmore/Quorn Tetrathlon including Area Competition

Fitzwilliam Triathalon February 2012

On Sunday 19th February, some Fernie members took part in the Fitzwilliam Triathlon. Our only Fernie Mini-mini – Fenella Davies did great and had a really good day. The Mini boy’s team of Toby Langrick, Will Bird and Finn Davies won as a team again (keep it up boy’s)!! Individually, Will won, Toby came 2nd and Finn came 3rd!! Will also got best run and Finn got best swim!!!! The Junior girl’s team – Emily Stout, Heather Langrick, Becky Saunders and Bethan Lewis also did well and had a really fun day!! Overall everyone enjoyed themselves and had a really fun day.

Fernie Teams for Cottesmore Tet 2012

On Sunday 29thJanuary some Fernie members took part in the Cottesmore Triathlon. There were some new members that took part and some that had moved up to the next class. Our only Biathlete, Imogene Baynes, had a fun day and came 6th individually. The only Fernie in the mini-minis was Fenella Davis and as part of a mixed team, won!! The boy’s team, Will Bird, Finn Davis and Toby Langrick also won in the Minimus Boys, and individually – Will came 3rd, Toby came 4thand Finn came 6th. In the Minimus girls were some new ones, Elise Kyle, Amelia Baynes and Eve Hopkins who had a really good day and really enjoyed themselves. Then in the Junior Girls were Heather Langrick, Emily Stout and Becky Sanders. They also enjoyed themselves and had a great day. The only Fernie Junior Boy was James Bird who did well and as part of a mixed team came 3rd. Everyone had a great day out and we will hope to see them out again having as much fun as they did then.

 

 

North Warwickshire Tetrathalon Sept 10th/11th

Emily Stout and Bethan Lewis

Emily Stout and Bethan Lewis were in a team with a member of the Croome PC. They won the Team Girls Minimus and Bethan came 3rd with Best Swim and Emily came 5th with a great clear cross country which put her in the lead after day one. They were automatically entered in a hunter trial which was run alongside the Tetrathalon and Emily came 6th.

This was Bethan’s first Tetrathlon and a great time was had by both girls!

Quorn Hunt Pony Club Triathlon

On Saturday 9th April Geordan Stout, Emily Stout, Fenella Davies, Finn Davies and Toby Langrick took part in the Quorn Triathlon.tri

Overall it was a successful day as everyone got placed. Geordan came 5thout of 15, Emily came 3rd out of 18 but also got best shoot, Fenella came 1st out of 78, then Finn came 67th out of 567. Toby Langrick came 67thout of 98 as well!! Everyone enjoyed the day out and will hope the success continues for the Fernie.
