Area Eventing Results, 21 July 2018, Dauntsey Park

Very well done to Bizzy, 5th on Noteworthy who qualifies for the Championships. Well done to all the team for all going clear cross country. Team 5th.

There were 17 teams in total including 3 from the HHPC. Team Casper – Millie, Harry, Issy and Tom came 6th, all clear cross country. Very well done to Izzy, Amity and Millie for coming 3rd, 5th and 8th respectively in their sections and qualifying individually for the Championships. Very sadly, we could not make these 3 into a team for the Championships – Pony Club rules!

There were 29 teams in this section and it was very competitive. The HHPC fielded 3 teams and 1 individual in the PC 90 Open section which was new for this year. Very well done to Eugena 9th and Hannah 8th in their respective sections and to Team Taffy (Silvia, Georgie  Emma and Hannah  who came 9th. Very well done too, to Molly who came 5th in the PC 90 Open class and was the highest placed PC member enabling her to also qualify for the Championships.

Many congratulations and the very best of luck to our 5 members who are off to the Championships in August. Please make sure your entries are in as soon as possible!

We are delighted with the results and although for some the day did not go as well as hoped, everyone showed great sportsmanship and there was a fantastic team spirit which is really important. We are both extremely proud of all our competitors and we loved seeing lots of smiley, happy faces.

An enormous thank you must go to you parents who are the back bone of teams for being so supportive and helpful. From experience, we know that it is also the hard work that goes on behind the scenes that is just as important and we’d like to thank you all, very much, for immaculately turned out children and ponies.

Finally, a massive thank you to our 3 coaches, Simon, Adam and Polly who all did a sterling job warming everyone up, walking courses and being on hand to settle any last minute nerves and offering masses of encouragement and advice.

Well done to you all and enormous thanks from us both for making it a wonderful and happy day.
