Winter League Show Jumping Report 2011/2012

The winter league SJ takes place at Osbaldeston and is hosted by West Lancs. County branch of pony club

 There are several competitions, grouped by member’s ages and the height of the jumps

 This competition has been attended by many of our members and has been very enjoyable, with many of the representatives going through to the jump off with double clear rounds ( If I have failed to mention anybody please let me know and if any body has photos they would like included please email them to the Holcombe mail box )

Winter League Dressage Report  2011/2012

This competition is hosted by the Holcombe Hunt Branch of the PC

 This year it has been held at Abram Hall RC venue in Wigan. This is situated to close motorway links for all the clubs in Area 4 and Holcombe has received lots of favourable comments from other branches regarding the venue and friendly atmosphere of the competitions.

Individual entries are welcome as well as team representations. There is a beginner’s class and also Dengie qualifiers who are official sponsors of the Pony club.

 Thank you to everyone who has made time to help with stewarding, writing for judges, baking cakes and making sandwiches, this series of competitions could not run without your help.

The following members have represented the club throughout the winter league competitions

 Charlotte Staines, Isabelle Drinkwater, Becky Bolam and Rebecca Wheeler

 We have been very lucky with the weather and only subjected to rain on one occasion.

 The March competition was the ride off for pony club members that had qualified throughout the winter within Area 4 for the Dengie Open and Novice dressage competition. Each Area winner is eligible to compete at the championships at Morton Morrell.
