LATEST RESULTS 2011:

Hickstead Showjumping

Both Open Class teams put in some very good rounds which is reflected in their placings.  The Gold team with Lauren, Ellie, Holly and Elspeth came 3rd and the Silver team with Panda, Maya, Amelia and Ailsa came 5th.  Well done to Lauren who came 5th individually and Holly who came 12th after a fast and slippy jump off.

Area Showjumping, Herriard Park, Basingstoke

The Open Team of Tom Lane, Ellie Lawrence, Laura Schroter and Lauren Blair- Rain were all competing at Open Area level for the first time and acquitted themselves very well, finishing in 4th with their scores separated on time from the third placed team.  They also achieved 2nd place in the Tack and Turnout competiton!

The two Intermediate teams finished in third and fifth, repeating this achievement in the Tack and Turnout competition as well!  Ailsa Wates and Amelia Shotter were the only competitors to go clear in the jump off and finished 1st and 2nd, respectively, to qualify for the Championships.

At the Championships, Pigeon was one of only a few to go clear in the second round but his 8 faults from the first round prevented Ailsa and him from being placed.  Sadly, Dolly was not in the best of moods for Amelia but maybe things will go better next time!

Amelia Adorian and Harriet Martin flew the flag for the Lord Lec Novices with Amelia reaching the very competitive jump off but just missing out on a place.

Well done to Araminta Reed, Isla Martin and Poppy Duke in the Mini class.  Although not placed the team of three rode well over a challenging course, especially in the second round.

Very many thanks to Penny Morris and Chris Watts for their invaluable experience on the day.

Cowdray Showjumping, 2nd June
It was the turn of the Open showjumpers to shine, at Cowdray’s competition at half-term!  The team of Meg Ayre, Laura Shroter, Ellie Lawrence and Lauren Blair Rains won the team class.  Meg also won the individual class within the Team competition, with Fi Dallyn 3rd and Laura 4th – three of the competitors of the four in the jump off were Lord Lec members!

The Mini showjumpers turned out to the competition at Sands Farm on the 12th.  In the individual class, Harry Wates had the excitement of winning the individual class with Daisy Coombe-Tennant also representing the branch in the final line-up, in 6th place.  The team, Harry, Daisy, Phoebe and Poppy came a very creditable 8th after they were presented with a challenging course for this event.

Amelia Shotter had a successful couple of days, adding a 6th in the Intermediate Individual Scurry class on the Tuesday.

There were also two teams entered in the Intermediate class on Tuesday.  One team, on this occasion Harriet Martin, Elspeth Williams, Ellie Lawrence and Maya Osmaston, had the honour of receiving the trophy on behalf of the Lord Leconfield branch for the third year in a row.  This team was closely backed up by Tom Lane, Lauren Blair-Rains, Megan Ayre and Lizzie Wait, in third place.
