Clara Armstrong, Josie Chubb, Hannah Williams & Katie Dimaline Intermediate Team 2011 Finished 5th

             Saturday got of to a good start with the Novice Team Gemma G and Yasmin P both scoring Good Dressage marks and being ably backed up by Will T and Kayla D. They moved onto the Show Jumping all four jumped very well with Yas going clear, the XC was eventfull with Will unfortunately parting company with Strawberry and ending up suffering concussion we are pleased to say he and horse are fine. Yas ended up 6th in her Section which was fantastic.  

            We then moved on to our only Open riderLizzie P who scored a 29.2 Dressage then 8 faults in the Show Jumping, she then went on and did a super clear round in the XC placing them in 8th overall.

            Sunday saw the Junior Team start the day with All four doing lovely Dressage Tests with Millie D scoring  29.3 putting her in 2nd. They then moved onto the Show Jumping with Millie, Emma and first timer Billie going clear and Izzy having an unlucky 4 faults ! the Celebration began when we all realised that Millie followed up her section win last week at Ranston with 2nd in her Section, Well done to you ALL.

          We then moved onto the Intermediate Team of Clara A, Josie C, Hannah W and Katie D all the girls Dressage scores put them in the top 10 in their Sections. They then moved to the Show Jumping where Josie had an unlucky pole down and the others going clear. This then put Clara in 1st and Katie in 3rd in their Section. They then moved onto the XC looking good Clara did a good solid clear, Josie and Katie went clear but picked up 2 time penalties each which unfortunately dropped Katie to 6th. Hannah retired at the 10th after a fall, pleased to say she is ok. All the girls, parents and supporters were eagerly waiting for the results then it was confirmed Clara and Solo had won and qualified for the Nationals ! unfortunately katie missed out by 0.4 marks on qualification. The Team however finished the day 5th out of the 15 Teams who took part so Well Done !

          Looking back at the Weekend I would just like to say Thanks to all the girls, boys, parents and supporters for making it so enjoyable. Well done to you all and Clara Good Luck in Derbyshire !
