Pony Club Rules

Members please note that to be eligible to compete at Area Competitions you must have attended three working rallies.  More details can be found in the Pony Club Rules.  It is also members’ responsibility to ensure they are entered in the correct classes. 

Please visit the Pony Club website to see the rules for showjumping, dressage and eventing.  You can also view the rules regarding the eligibility of riders and horses for Area Competitions.

 

MID ANTRIM  PONY CLUB PROPER DRESS CODE FOR RALLIES

We would like to see members adhere to our proper dress code at rallies wherever possible.

Please see below the expected standard of turnout:

Rider:

Cream or white jodhpurs

Green Pony Club Sweat Shirt with Green polo shirt 

Black or Brown Jodhpur Boots with or without half chaps or rubber riding boots with smooth soles or long leather boots in black or brown.

Black or Navy riding hat cover

Green Pony Club coat if cold

Gloves

No Jewellery

Boys – Hair short and neat

Girls – Hair neatly tied back in a hair net

Pony:

Correctly fitted, clean, PLAIN brown or black tack

Black, brown, navy or white numnahs only

No bright colours, pony to be clean in appearance and sound in limb. Any lame/unwell ponies/horses or unsafe tack may  be asked to leave the rally until remedied for health and safety reasons.

Passports.

It is now law that all horses/ponies have their own passport and it is your responsibility to carry these with you to all events as you may be asked to produce them, especially at events outside your own club.  If you do not have it with you you may not be allowed to compete.

**HAT TAGGING**

Please note that your hats must be checked and tagged before taking part in any Pony Club events. If you wear different hats for different disciplines, then they all need to be checked and tagged with this years AQUA tags.

Hats can be tagged by Trudy Woolsey or Anna Blackwell.
