18.1.12
On Thursday 12 Jan 2012 a male was spotted in the five acre field containing 5 horses – opposite Dale Farm on Flaunden Lane – approx 1/4 mile from the Bricklayers Arms (towards Belsize). The owner of the horses was alerted at 11.20 am by mobile phone by a passing rider (fortunate to get a signal).
The person in the field was dressed in Jeans and wearing a yellow jacket with no logo or markings.
When challenged by the owner of the horses who arrived very promptly from Flaunden House stables, he claimed he though he was in Felden and was looking for the 02 cell phone mast. He had no identification but it was noted that there was a sheaf of papers on the front seat of his motor vehicle.
He drove off towards the Bricklayers arms at just after 11.30 – driving a black Ford Kia Carens, Reg number GF03 KZE. The Index comes back to a man from Kent which may show that he was up to no good.
If you see any suspicious behaviour please call the new non-emergency number “101” and we will get officers out to investigate
