You have to have shoot training before you compete at tetrathlon.
To shoot in competition you have to be 8, under 8s do bean bag throwing.

Don’t forget to make sure your horse or ponies vaccinations are up to date… More and more venues require them and if you don’t have them you risk your child not being able to compete..

The Pony Club has decided that from 2015 and going forward thereafter,

subscriptions will fall due on: 1st FEBRUARY

This means that some other dates have also moved:

Accordingly, any membership that is not paid up and renewed before 28th February 2015 will be deemed to have lapsed and insurance cover will cease.

All members who wish to be considered for area teams MUST be fully paid up members by 28th February 2015. (This is a national not a branch rule)

The 2015 renewal form asks for age  as at 1.2.15 (instead of 1st Jan) I have attempted to clarify this with HQ and have been assured that the Pony Club will continue to calculate age from 1st January.

You will be reminded in January!

The subs will be £64 individual / £160 family.

Any questions please get in touch:

Making a Payment Online

Peta Marsh, RMPC treasurer, has put together a system to enable payment to be made for Pony Club events, training etc by Bank transfer.

Please take a few moments to read it through. Peta will be available at the AGM to answer any questions you may have.

Please note: if you are unable to pay by this method cheques and cash will still be accepted.

Click Here for the payment page, this can also be found under General Information/Making a Payment on the left hand sidebar.

European Riding Hat standards are now being changed in 2015

Dear Pony Club Member,

As you may already be aware European Riding Hat standards are now being changed in 2015 and after the 31 December 2015 The Pony Club will not be allowing Members to take part in their activities using riding hats which are only marked with the standard (BS)EN1384. We would suggest that if you are going to buy a new hat you ensure it is also marked with one of the other standards allowed under The Pony Club rules so that they can continue to use it in 2016.

Hats which only meet the standard (BS)EN1384 can be used in 2015 but will not be retagged with one of the new white hat tags during 2015, they will continue to be tagged with a purple hat tag to allow them to be used during 2015. If you require advice and guidance regarding hat tagging you should speak to your nominated Branch hat taggers.

Hat Rule 2015

Important Notice Regarding the Withdrawal of EN 1384

Following the withdrawal of EN 1384, manufacturers are preparing to produce hats to an improved standard which is expected to be in line with PAS 015:2011. Hats will continue to be manufactured and kitemarked to BS EN 1384: 2012 for 12 months or more and may be available on the market place to the end of 2016.

We anticipate hats manufactured to the new standard to become available late in 2015 or early 2016.

It is our understanding that hats manufactured and kitemarked to PAS 015: 2011 will continue to be available because this is an improvement upon BS EN 1384: 2012.

These changes do not affect the AS/NZS 3838: 2006 with the SAI mark or the SNELL standard.
