  • Tuesday Night Rallies -Rallies Hawkhurst
  • Junior Rallies Tuesday 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Playden TN31 7UN, for all standards and preparation for C+, C and D+ tests.There will be a further opportunity in the summer for C+, C, D+ and road safety tests when the rallies move to Delmonden at beginning of June. Please book in a week in advance with Julie or 01797 227253YOU MUST BOOK IN A WEEK AHEAD FOR ALL RALLIES.

  • To clarify any confusion regards rallies and Area qualification requirements. This quote from the Rule Book should clarify things.
    For Area Competitions and above, Members must have been to a minimum of three working rallies since the previous 1st July, one of which must be in the current year, to be eligible to represent their Branch.

    A working Rally is one at which instruction is given and which is open to all Members of the Branch within the age range for which it is intended. It may be either a mounted or dismounted Rally. A dismounted Rally is usually for horse and pony care training. Camp counts as one Working Rally. Team practices or coaching sessions do not qualify as Working Rallies.

    Anyone else wanting to enter West Kent Sevenoaks ODE 60, 70, 80 or mini combined training 17th July, teams or individuals, please email Denise and send payment to Peta by Thursday 23rd. Entry fee is £36.
    Also if you want to put your name down for Hickstead interbranch 70 or 80 6th August, (teams) please let Denise know by 16th June.

  • Pony Club Road Rider courses

    St Teresa’s Equestrian (Critten Lane, Effingham. RH5 6ST) are running two Pony Club Road Rider courses and would like to open them up to all Pony Clubs in the Area in case anybody would like to get one or two Members through their Test.

    Fast Track Road Rider: Wednesday 8th June and Wednesday 15th June – 4.30 to 6.30pm dismounted theory, and Saturday 18th June – 10am to 3pm mounted practical and exam. £50 if bringing their own horse/pony OR £80 to include a shared horse/pony hire.

    Longer Version Road Rider: Wednesday 8th June, 15th June, 22nd June and 29th June – 4.30 to 6.30pm. £80 including shared horse/pony hire (this course may run on the Fridays instead if demand allows).

    Both courses will include refreshments, course materials and exam fees.

  • Shooting practices, David and Julie will be doing shooting practice, Mondays at 5.30 p.m. and Fridays at 4.30 p.m. the Pack house, Barons Grange, Readers Lane Iden Tn31 7UU, Julie 01797227253 or Dave 01797280049 or email  you must book in each time you are coming so I can spread the 3s out.

    You have to have shoot training before you compete at tetrathlon. To shoot in competition you have to be 8, under 8s do bean bag throwing.

  • PAYMENTS – Please can everyone remember you need to pay for all training and competitions before you will be entered. We have sadly been spending to much time chasing people for payments, so please make sure you pay with your entry or booking, by cheque or online. Once we have had confirmation of online payments from Peta your entry will be excepted, so don’t forget to email her when you make a payment. There is a risk without payment your entry or booking will not be excepted.

  • Making a Payment Online
    Peta Marsh, RMPC treasurer, has put together a system to enable payment to be made for Pony Club events, training etc by Bank transfer.
    Please take a few moments to read it through. Peta will be available at the AGM to answer any questions you may have. Please note: if you are unable to pay by this method cheques and cash will still be accepted.

  • Don’t forget to make sure your horse or ponies vaccinations are up to date… More and more venues require them and if you don’t have them you risk your child not being able to compete..
  • Please note your completed membership form and cleared payment are required before you can attend a rally.


  • The Pony Club, subscriptions will fall due on: 1st FEBRUARY
    Any membership that is not paid up and renewed before 28th February 2016 will be deemed to have lapsed and insurance cover will cease.
    All members who wish to be considered for area teams MUST be fully paid up members by 28th February 2016. (This is a national not a branch rule)
    The subs will be £70 individual / £175 family.

  • HAT RULE 2016
    In January 2016 a new hat rule was bought out, please make sure you have the correct hat and don’t forget you must have your hat tagged for any competitions. Link to new Hate Rule 2016
    It is mandatory for all Members to wear a protective helmet at all times when mounted with a chinstrap fastened and adjusted so as to prevent movement of the hat in the event of a fall. This rule defines the quality of manufacture that is required. The individual disciplines also have additional requirements with regard to colour and type. It is strongly recommended that second hand hats are not purchased.
