Working rallies are for *all ages and all standards*. They are the backbone of teaching and learning in the Pony Club and are an opportunity for all members to improve one or more aspects their practical horsemanship.
Please use the most recent Rally Booking Form and send it (or necessary salient details) to Jane Walsh with your payment (£5). Jane’s full contact details are on the form and she is happy to receive bookings via phone, e-mail or post.
Also may I give a timely reminder that Working Rallies count towards meeting the eligibility criteria required to enter competitions leading to the Pony Club Championships. Riders and ponies must have attended three Working Rallies (or other ‘starred’ events in the programme, since 1st July the preceding year) and this is essential for the branch instructors to gain an adequate understanding of capability and attainment. Not only does this prevent what could be interpreted as ‘cheating’ (eg. borrowing a school master to enter a competition on) but also enables our instructors to take the essential health and safety decision and prevent a rider/pony combination recklessly attempting something they are not yet capable of.
