Rebecca Howsam has again qualified her horse Ginger JGV for two classes at the Trailblazers National Show jumping Championships to be held at The Royal Showground, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire in July this year. She qualified in the second round at the Horseworld Equestrian Centre, Market Rasen on Sunday 1st April in which she won both of her classes, being the only person in one class to obtain a double clears. She also qualified another of her horses Barley Mow for the Trailblazers final finishing with a solid performance on Saturday 7th April. She will compete in the BSJA Regional Finals in the British Novice Class at Onley Grounds Warwickshire on June 3rd. On 6th May at Arena UK she qualified in the BSJA Katherine James Class at 1.05m, a direct Scope qualifier with about 50 in the class.
Samantha Green came first in the Dengie Winter Show Jumping Championships 2012 Area 6 qualifier at Trent Valley on Sunday 18th March. Jumping in the Open class 1.10m, she has qualified for the Dengie Open Grand Prix Show Jumping Championship in Warwickshire on March 31st. She won a Dengie winners numnah, a silver salver and vouchers for Trent Valley.
Fenella Selby came second and also quailfied for the Championships. Good luck to both our members 
Rhys Cantrill, 7 years old, has qualified for the second round for Trailblazers Show Jumping and he is going to the Cricklands Winter League Finals in April, classes 10ys and under 2’0” & 11yrs and under 2’3”.

Alisha Selby and Cheyenne qualified for the 2nd round of the Dengie Show Jumping on 27th November with a double clear and 3rd place at Barleyfields Equestrian Centre.
At the Blankney Pony Club ODE on Sunday 13th October South Notts had a great day. Olivia Whitelaw on Tequila won the 8&under class with Olivia Hooper on Rosie placed 2nd in the class of 12, followed by Olivia Whitelaw on Spice being placed 2nd in the 10& under class finishing on the same dressage score as the winner with placings having to be decided using the cumulative scores.
Good showing for South Notts members Sam Green (1st) and Alice Stubbs (2nd) at the Southwell Ploughing Match on Saturday 24th September in the 105/110cm class. Both got double clears and were the only competitors to do so in this class.
Samantha also came first in the Open Horse show jumping Championship 3ft 6 class at Moor Green Show in August, 
getting double clear again becoming Show Supreme Champion.
Representing South Notts Hunt Pony Club in the Mini Burghley Event Pony Finals 2011, Annie Ellis finished 4th and Camilla Hancox 10th after completing the dressage and jumping fabulous clear rounds.
Quorn Junior & Novice ODE
South Notts members did very well at the Quorn ODE on Friday 12th August at Widmerpool.
In class 2 (12 and under) Millie Catley came 1st, Lara Radzki 2nd and Megan Hopinson 5th.
In class 3 (13 years and over) Jaimee Broadley came 3rd.

SOUTH NOTTS DO WELL AT TRAILBLAZERS SJ CHAMPIONSHIPS
Rebecca Howsam has done South Notts proud at Trailblazers in the Senior Show jumping. 1st in the 75cm Championship, jumped double clear out of a class of 54 and fourth in the 85cm from a class of 64- unlucky not to come home with that trophy as well had an unlucky 4 faults catching a fence in the jump off but with an amazing time beating the winners time by 5 seconds both on her horse Ginger JGV 
Lloyd Elliott on Fairview Grasey Boy and Fairview Medea II got place 7th ,8th and 9th in 85 cm and 95 cm.
Sam Shaw came 5th in 90cm and 10th in 85 cm and Lottie Tyler came 2nd in 80cm won the 85 cm and came 8th in 95 cm.
It was a great weekend as South Notts got placed on every day of the Championships
Alisha Selby competed at the Fitzwilliam Junior ODE yesterday in the 12&U class. She was placed 1st and had the best Dressage.
She was also 2nd at Belvoir Junior ODE 12&U and 2nd at Blankney Junior ODE 12&U
Mia Mordecai Smith spent Easter Weekend at the Pony Of the Year Show competing in the Under 11 90cm class. She got 2 double clears on 2 of the 3 Championship days so was able to compete on Flash in the Grand Final, rolling a pole in the first round so unfortunately just missing out on the rosettes.
Lloyd Qualifies For Scope Show Jumping Festival 2011
Lloyd Elliott and Fairviews Grasey Boy beat good competition to win the BSJA Scope qualifier the progressive. Lloyd was last in the jump off to and well beat every one else’s time to win the qualifier.
SOUTH NOTTS HUNT PONY CLUB MEMBERS QUALIFY TRAILBLAZER CHAMPIONSHIPS
Congratulations to Lloyd Elliott, Lottie Tyler, Sam Shaw, Jamie Broadley who have all Qualified for the Trailblazer Show Jumping Championships 2011. They have competed First and Second rounds at different Equestrian Centres throughout 2010 /2011. Lloyd has qualified 3 ponies and will compete in 5 classes
New member Becky Howsam has also qualfied for both the Dressage and Show Jumping Championships
Mia Mordecai-Smith and Flash competed at Vale View on the 12th February in the Arena Eventing Challenge and managed to come 1st against 26 other riders with a clear round in both show jumping and cross country. There were only a few riders who managed this in a very close competition. Mia as now qualified for the Finals in September
On January 2nd Mia Mordecai-Smith competed at Vale View in the Arena Eventing competition at 75cm and 85cm coming 1st in both and going clear over 30 fences, against stiff competition. Winning £50 along the way. On the 15th of January again on Flash Mia tried her hand at the 75cm and 85cm classes in Arena Eventing with 12-15 competitors per class Mia managed to win both classes again going clear in both. On January 8th Mia competed at the Combined Training (test Prelim 12 & 75cm SJ) coming 1st winning £15.
2010 News
Samantha Green, Jamie Harby, Lewis Harby and Keiran Harby qualified at Trent Valley for the BRC show jumping championships at Hartbury in April 2011. They came first, finishing with 4 team faults over two timed rounds.
Lloyd Elliott qualified to go through to 2nd round Trailblazers and Dengie 2011. After a busy week competing at Westfield Park on Thursday qualifying Cecilia in 75 cm and 85 cm and Fairviews Grasey Boy in 85 cm and then going to Laughton Manor on the Saturday and qualified for the Pony Club Dengie. Lloyd has also qualified for Trailblazers 95cm on Fairviews Media II
Lloyd also won a 95cm and 105cm class on Fairviews Grasey Boy at Laughton Manor the same day.
Olivia Whitelaw competed at the Blankney Pony Club Junior One Day Event this weekend and won the 7 and under class,with 7 competitors in the class. A fabulous dressage score of 102 out of a possible 130 gave her a final score over 20 points ahead of the competitor finishing in 2nd place .

Lloyd Elliott has just become East Midland Champion and Third Nationally with his Herbie Mini N53 representing the Nottingham Autograss club. It was a gruelling two days of highly competitive racing. Lloyd had to be in the top 32 by the quarter finals on the second day and then drive his way through quarter finals and semi finals to finally get to the final race. Lloyd and his mini will be at Southwell ploughing match if any one wants to have a look at Lloyds other hobby
Lucy Knowles riding on her pony Colourscene achieved second place in the British Show Jumping Association ‘Stepping Stones’ Championship 138cm pony class on the 11th September. Lucy enabled to compete for the championship held at Weston Lawns by successfully winning two earlier qualifying events held at Laughton Manor and Trent Valley.
Lucy was amongst only sixteen riders of the sixty competitors on Saturday to gain a clear round in the first heat and was the only rider to go on to get a double clear in the jump off round until the fourteenth rider entered the arena and knocked Lucy off the first place spot. Many thanks go to Kirsty and Jean for their training.
In July of this year Lucy and Colourscene also competed at the Spillers Trailblazers Show Jumping Championships at Stoneleigh in Warwickshire gaining 9th position in the 80cm practice day event and 11th place in both the 75cm and 85cm consolation events.
Other competitors from South Notts, – Lloyd Elliott, Lottie Tyler and Joe Shaw also did well at Trailblazers.
Zoe Brenan has recently been selected for the Midlands JRN squad, to compete in her first 3-day event at Weston Park, at the beginning of October. Good luck Zoe
Congratulations to Molly Campbell for being selected to represent the East of England in the Junior Regional Tetathlon Championships , clear round and across the board the award for Best Ridden Round of the day, Team came 8th. Also for Reserve Champion at the Trailblazers finals with Pinglewood Sunny D, and overall 3rd with Twinkle
A great day at the Meynell Hunter Trial at Draycott House. Daisy Appleby and Daydream Dancer came 1st in the Novice class for 13-16 year-olds (95cm) and then Daisy and Emily Dench on Haribo won the pairs. This was Daisy’s first Hunter trial with “Archie” and they both really enjoyed themselves.
Samanatha Green had a good day in the show jumping classes at Moorgreen County Show on Sunday 30th August, coming 2nd in the 3ft Novice class, 1st in the 3ft 3, and 2nd in the Open 3ft6, winning £37 along the way.
Congratulations to Leanne Wade came 2nd in the Novice class at Cottesmore Senior ODE
Zoe Brenan won the JRN class at BE event at Buckminster on 11th July. She finished on her dressage score and was one of only a handful that went round the XC inside the time.
Joe Shaw will also be Show Jumping in the Trailblazers finals at Stoneleigh along with the others mentioned and Sam Shaw will be competing in the Dressage Trailblazers final the following weekend
Sam also won the Novice Working Hunter Pony at Derby County Show last Sunday…….such a very hot day!
At the Quorn Hunt Combined Training Event on the 13th June , South Notts had a good day. Olivia Whitelaw on her 7th birthday won both the 9 and under dressage and the combined training 45cm class, and in the 80cm combined training class Emily Wheelhouse came 2nd.
At Shelford ODE, the South Notts 14 year & under team come 2nd. The team consisted of Emily W
heelhouse (individual 1st) Lloyd Elliott (individual 4th) Frankie Marriott and Molly Cambell
