Dress code

Below is the Dress Code for Rallies, practices and for when you are competing on one of the SWS PC teams. Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the code.

 

Riding hats

A riding hat in either black, brown or dark blue which must be manufactured to one of the following minimum safety standards. The has must be clearly marked with either:

 

The CE mark and the BSI kitemark with one of the following numbers: PAS015:1998 or EN1384 1996 or BSEN1387:1997

OR

The mark and the official Snell E2001 label and number

OR

The CE mark and the SAI Global symbol with one of the following numbers: AS/NZS3838 1998 or AS/NZS3838 2003. All members must have their hats checked and tagged.

 

Footwear

Jodhpur boots or long riding boots in black or brown, with smooth soles and small heel, NO muckers, trainers or wellies to be worn when mounted. Half chaps may be worn, but must be the same colour as the footwear and NO tassels.

 

Body protectors

To a Beta Standard are compulsory for all cross country jumping activities and at a parents’ discretion for show jumping activities.

 

Coats

Branch coats or dark blue, black or brown coats may be worn over jackets if wet/cold.

 

Hair

Hair nets to be worn and hair tied back.

 

Jewellery

Strictly NO jewellery (including studs and sleepers) of any sort with the exception of wedding rings, wrist watches, stock pins worn horizontally or tie clips.

 

Dress Code A – Rallies

 

Hats, footwear, body protectors, coats, hair and jewellery as above.

Hacking jackets.

Cream jodhpurs or breeches.

Plain coloured shirt with collar and Pony Club tie.

Pony Club badge to be worn on left lapel of jacket at least 4cms below the collar bone.

Gloves are mandatory.

Horses and ponies to be clean and plaited.

 

 

Dress code B – Practices/training

 

Hats, footwear, body protectors, coats, hair and jewellery as above.

Branch sweatshirts.

Blue or white polo shirt or shirt with collar.

Cream, blue, black or brown jodhpurs or breeches.

Gloves are mandatory.

Horses/ponies do not need to be plaited.
