The Pony Club has been the starting point for a large majority of equestrian team members, equine professionals, and medal winners. Training is at the heart of The Pony Club, providing opportunities to build knowledge on improving equine welfare, rider safety and enabling Members to develop lifelong skills, alongside riding, and having fun!
We welcome you to have a look around this website to find out more about us. Visit our Contact Us page to get in touch with any questions you may have. We are a fun and friendly Branch, and we are looking forward to welcoming you.
Our Branch was formed in 1953 as part of the RMA Sandhurst Drag Hunt. We are quite a small but close knit Pony Club Branch with everyone knowing everyone else and supporting each other.
We hold lots of rallies and training sessions for all levels from lead rein upwards and organise fun activities such as our popular Friday Night Club & Badge Nights where members learn about pony care, have fun and make new friends. One of the highlights of the year is summer camp. We are a very busy, active branch – you can view our online rallies & event booking here.
Many of our members are competitive, entering Dressage, Show Jumping, Eventing, Triathlon, Tetrathlon, Mounted Games competitions at all levels and Quiz teams. Our branch colours are red and gold which stand out amazingly at competitions. You can view and purchase our branch clothing from here.
We pride ourselves on retaining members right through to senior level. Senior members are actively encouraged to become involved with the organisation of some of the younger members activities and it is extremely pleasing that some have gone on to become Junior Instructors who work alongside our experienced, qualified Instructors.
We are a very enthusiastic committee and our aim is to provide a packed calendar of events for every member of the branch to enjoy.
You can view more information on joining our branch here. For more information please don’t hesitate to contact us.
