Pony Club Hat Rule 2023 reminder.
In order to ensure riders are wearing the most up to date riding hats,  the following hat standards WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED, due to the age of hats made to these standards:

  1. PAS O15 1998
  2. SNELL 2001

The hat standards accepted as of 1st January 2023 are detailed in the Pony Club New Hat Rule 2023.  To manage this change there is a new colour hat tag which will be required for all Pony Club, British Eventing and British Riding Club activities. I will check hats and tag them at forthcoming rallies if you have spare/competition hats at home please bring them along too (13th January)

The Young Equestrian Leaders Award (YELA) is an award scheme designed to recognise the time and effort young volunteers give to equestrianism and shape their experience, so they become equestrian leaders of the future. The award is open to all young people between the ages of 13 and 25.  Visit YELA page for more information

Hat Rule
Pony Club, British Eventing and British Riding Clubs have joined together to unify the hat standards, resulting in a single hat tag being accepted across all three member bodies. The new ‘pink’ hat tag will carry the logo of the body that checks the hat so that the source of the tagging can be tracked, riders will  no longer have to wear multiple tags on their hats. Please ensure that your hat has the NEW PINK hat tag,  if you need your hat tagging please contact Dani a.s.a.p.
