WELL DONE TO ALL THOSE WHO TOOK PART IN THE BLUE CROSS HORSE AND PONY CARE COMPETITION! We entered both a junior and senior team in the competition this year and came a fantastic 6th with the junior team of Sophie Ditchfield, Molly Ayrton and Tamsin Drury, and we also got a brilliant 4th with our senior team of Eleanor Berry, Alex Maxwell and Charlotte Cross they all did great against stiff opposition, a big thank-you to Jo Baxter for training them all so well.

AREA 4 HORSE AND PONY CARE COMPETITION is on Sunday 20th May 2012 10am at Deandane Farm, Gathurst Road, Shevington. This is a team event, each team to consist of 3 members.
Juniors – Junior team members to be 13 years and under as at 1st January 2012 with at least one member to be 11 years or under. The Junior competition is based around the Pony Club D,D+ & C horsemastership tests.
Seniors – Senior team members to been 14 years & 21 years as at 1st January 2012 with at least one member to be 16yrs or under. The Senior competition is based around the Pony Club C+ – AH horsemastership tests.

FANTASTIC QUIZ RESULT FOR WHEELTON Wheelton entered 2 teams for the area quiz this year and did fantastically with 4th postion and 11th position, the team who came fantastic fourth were Molly Philips, Sophie Ditchfield, Alice Martindale and Millie Wright with 84 point and the team in 11th place with 80 points were Alex Maxwell, Charlotte Cross, Tamsin Drury and Molly Aryton. Well done all you did Wheelton proud!

WHEELTON DO IT AGAIN!! WINTER LEAGUE DRESSAGE 5th Dec 11
Two teams competed in the 12 & under Dressage Competition held at Abram Hall Farm, Abram. One team consisted of Milly Wright, Sophie Ditchfield, Abi Belshaw & Molly Ayrton (on the first of her 2 ponies) – the other consisted of Tamsin Drury, Jasmine Gaskell & Molly (on her other pony). Unfortunately Amy Phillips was unable to compete as her sister was taken ill. Both teams rode brilliant tests finishing 1st & 3rd overall! Milly & Abi won their sections, Sophie 2nd,Molly 5th & Tamsin 6th – Jasmine just missed out on the placings but still scored highly! Sophie then went on to compete in the Dengie Open which she won, Molly came 3rd in the Dengie Novice and Charlotte Cross also rode a good test in this class but did not get placed.
A super day for Wheelton despite the torrential rain & hail, well done to all who competed and a special thanks to the parents who supported the teams! Also thanks to our instructors and to Holcombe for organising the event.
The next Interbranch competition is on 13th February 2012 – this is a Novice team event so if anyone wishes to compete on the team please contact Jill
MORE FANTASTIC DRESSAGE RESULTS FOR WHEELTON 20th Nov 11
The Holcomble winter league open competition took place this weekend and there were a few team changes from last times team. Alex and Jasper, Katie and Gomez, Millie and Dakota and Charlotte C with last minute stand in Billy did a fantastic job to come Fourth as a team with Millie 4th individually and Alex 5th.
Katie and Alex then did the Dengi competition, Katie in the novice and Alex in the open, dispite a lovely test Gomez was not placed in the novice but Alex managed a great 2nd place in the open and qualified for the next round in March.
Well done all of you, you did a great job and Thank-you very much to Holcombe for doing a fantastic job organising the winter league.
Anybody wishing to compete as part of a team in the next Interbranch Competition at Abram Hall Farm on 4th Dec (12 & under) to let me know asap, as the entry needs to be in by the 25th Nov.
MORE FANTASTIC RESULTS FOR WHEELTON 29th Oct 11 the under 12’s show jumping team had a fantastic time today at Osbaldeston. Team 1 Millie Wright, Dantaya Roye-Blackburn, Heather Ridgway and Tamsin Drury, were the first to shine with double clears all round they came 11th and Team 2 was Miki Samson, Molly Ayrton, Pippa Mulready and Alice Shaw did amazingly to come 2nd. Miki Samson came 2nd overall out of over 100 entries! Well done all of you, you did us proud!
FANTASTIC RESULTS FOR WHEELTON 16th OCT 11 Wheelton had a fantastic weekend doing amazingly in both the Winter league SJ and Dressage Compeitions. The first to shine were our under 10s SJ team of Molly, McCaully, Pippa and Freddy who finished an amazing 5th in the competition. Then an amazing performance by our open dressage team gave them 1st place as a team with Megan in 1st place over all and Sophie in 3rd place over all with Molly and Alex close behind. Then more success in the Pony Club Dengi competition Sophie and Alex coming 3rd and 4th in the Novice and Megan and Molly coming 1st and 3rd in the Open competition which means all our girls qualify for the Dengi ride off in April.

ANNUAL PARENTS MEETING We are holding our annual parents meeting on Friday 8th April at St Chads Social Club, Town Lane, Whittle le Woods to commence at 7.30pm. All parents/guardians are welcome. You will be able to meet the committee and our instructors and ask any questions you may have and make any suggestions which you feel are relevant.
We shall also have more details about this years camp at Somerford Park and will be pleased to answer any queries or concerns you may have.
Members are also welcome to come along when there will an opportunity for them to take their Points of the Horse achievement badge and for our younger members to take the mini achievement badge. This will be held at the same time as the meeting but in a separate room with one of our older members so parents can relax and have a drink and a chat!

WHEELTON HUNTER TRIALS 2010 We had a fantastic day on Saturday with a great turnout from other branches and the weather was kind to us. Once again everyone pulled together to make the event happen, many thanks to all the fence judges and other helpers and of course Cilla and Tommy for their fantastic catering.
