INTERBRANCH SHOWJUMPING  26th Feb Success for wheelton again at the latest interbranch competition the 2’9’’ course, our team consisted of Megan Abrahams on Morgan, Sophie Ditchfield on Bobby,  Molly Phillips on Sox and Sarah Hoyland on Martella. Megan and Sophie had 4 faults each in the first round with Molly and Sarah going clear. The second was also the Dengi Qualifying round, the jumps went up, some of them were huge! but our brave team battled on this time Molly, Megan and Sophie all went clear with Sarah getting an unfortunate 4 faults. The 3 clear from the second round went into the jump off,  Molly with 2 clears competing for a place in both the interbranch competition and the Dengi.
Megan and Sophie competing for the Dengi qualifier.
The times were very fast and the girls went all out to win, Megan unfortuanately picked up a few faults, Sophie did another fantastic clear but not quite fast enough to get a place, and Molly blazed round to get a fantastic 4 in both competitions!!
Alex and Jasper also entered as individuals but Jasper decided it was all too much for him and refused to play on the day getting eliminated in both rounds.

Well done all of you!

MEGAN’S SUCCESS
Megan Abrahams represented Wheelton in the newcomers show jumping at Kelsall, Megan rode fantastically against 35 competitors to get a double clear and go forward to the jump off , she had an unlucky 8 faults in the jump off  but still gained a wonderful 7th place rossette. Well Done Megan and Morgan!

INTERBRANCH SHOWJUMPING 27nd FEB
Two Wheelton members took part in the recent 2’9 team show jumping series at Osbaldeston. Molly Phillips and Sarah Latham were in a mixed team with 2 Blackburn members. They both went clear in the first round and Molly had an unlucky pole down in the second round. Sarah went clear in the second round and went into the jump off where her and Rolo came a super 2nd  out of 90 starters!  The team came just out of the placings. Well done to Sarah and Molly and thanks to West Lancs County for an enjoyable (but very cold!) day.
