Easter Monday Dressage at Eashing Farm – 9 April 2012
Chiddingfold Farmers’ PC Team Dressage competition took place on Easter Monday. Wokingham sent two teams for the Novice classes and two individuals , one to each of the Intermediate and Open classes.
This competition is always well attended and is seen as an important dressage fixture for Area 13 branches and the standard of competitors was high as usual.
The Wokingham Novice Team competitors were:-

The team classes took place in the morning and despite the rain, both teams tried very hard and represented us with credit!! Whilst no one was placed, their team spirit was fantastic and they supported each other well.
In the afternoon our two individual competitors, Celia and Daisy Marino, battled with the rain and both were placed in their classes Celia and Enzo came 3rd in the Intermediate class with Daisy and Tobermory Bay achieving 6th place in the Open. Daisy was also 3rd in her Warm up class so very well done to both of them!

Sadly for Lucy she is one place outside of gaining a slot at the National Final but this is still a brilliant result as this is a very hard fought competition!

Area Junior Horse & Pony Care Competition – 18 Feb 2012
We sent two teams to the Junior Horse and Pony Care competition held at Lower Peake, Warnford and hosted by Hambledon Hunt (North) Branch. Members of the team were aged 13 and under.
Unfortunately we could not make a team for the Senior competition or for the National Quiz but our Juniors did us proud. They had put in several sessions of practise on both the theory and practical knowledge required in the weeks leading up to the competition. On the day the competition was very tight with final scores being quite close.
Wokingham Yellow Team which was made up of Rachel Cawley, Lillie Browne and Georgia Bowman finished in a fantastic 2nd place. Our Blue team of Jade Ross, Emily Parr and Courtney Gibson were not very far behind but were not quite in the rosettes.
Very well done to all of them for turning out smartly and representing us so well!
Wokingham Pony Club Clothing
Saddle Cloths
When members go out to competitions and are representing our Branch it is nice if they are wearing a WPC saddlecloth!
If you would like to have a saddlecloth with the PC logo on it please obtain for yourself a saddlecloth that is the correct size for your horse or pony and we will have it embroidered for you with the logo on it and our Branch will pay the cost of the embroidery.
Please contact Claire Ross (details in your newsletter). The saddle cloth must be white and clean (though it does not necessarily need to be new) and marked with your name so it can be easily identified.
Pony Club Clothing
If you would like to buy any Wokingham Pony Club clothing, whether it be a Jacket embriodered with the PC Logo and your name, or a polo shirt, rugby-style shirt with long sleeves (suitable for XC), or a sweatshirt please contact Claire Ross (whose details can be found in your Newsletter).
You are required to wear these PC tops for Camp and any sessions where full show gear is not required such as training sessions.
