A blistering hot weekend began early on Saturday morning at Wrekin College for the Area 7 Tetrathlon (incorporating a separate triathlon) competition.<\/p>\n

Our seniors all shot, ran and swam well with Charles 2nd<\/sup>; Gil 3rd<\/sup>and Thomas 8th<\/sup> \u2013 intermediate boys and Katie 7th<\/sup> open and intermediate girls section.<\/p>\n

Our Junior boys, Alex and Hamish were 9th<\/sup> and 10th<\/sup> in their Junior Section and our Junior Girls, Oona, Emelia and Holly were 15th, 14th<\/sup> and 19th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Thomas was 6th<\/sup> \u2013 Mini Boys and Elizabeth was 17th <\/sup>Mini Girls.<\/p>\n

Our tadpole boys \u2013 Jude and Jonah were 4th<\/sup>and 5th<\/sup> respectively and our tadpole girls \u2013 Phoebe, Evie and Harriett were 6th<\/sup>, 7th<\/sup> and 13th<\/sup> respectively.\u00a0 These were all very big classes.<\/p>\n

Our beanie boys, Finn, Reuben and George came 3th<\/sup>, 6th<\/sup> and 7th<\/sup> and our youngest Tiddler girl member, Georgia came 5th<\/sup> in her section.<\/p>\n

Sunday dawned and all the tetrathletes made their way over to Berriewood Equestrian Centre for the Ride Phase of this competition.<\/p>\n

Intermediate Boys \u2013 Charles 1st<\/sup> and Gil 5th \u2013 Area 7<\/p>\n

Intermediate Girls – \u00a0Katie \u2013 3rd<\/sup> \u2013 Area 7<\/p>\n

Interemdiate Mixed Team \u2013 Charles, Gil and Katie \u2013 1st<\/sup><\/p>\n

Junior Boys \u2013 Hamish 1st<\/sup>,\u00a0 Alex 2nd<\/sup> \u2013 Area 7<\/p>\n

Junior Girls \u2013 Emelia 3rd<\/sup>, Oona 4th<\/sup>, Holly 7th<\/sup>\u2013 Area 7<\/p>\n

Special note of congratulations \u2013 to Emelia, Oona and Hamish \u2013 there were only three 1400 ride scores for these two sections achieved by our three members \u2013 well done.<\/p>\n

Junior Girls Team \u2013 Area 7 \u2013 Emelia, Oona and Holly \u2013 1st<\/sup><\/p>\n

Mini Boys \u2013 Thomas was 3rd<\/sup> \u00a0in the section but 1st<\/sup> for Area 7<\/p>\n

Tadpole Girls \u2013 Evie was 3rd<\/sup> in her area competition with another 1400 ride score and Phoebe was 6th<\/sup><\/p>\n

Beanie Boys \u2013 George was 1st<\/sup> in his area competition and last but not least Georgia was 1st<\/sup> in the Tiddler Girls area competition with a fantastic 1400 ride score.<\/p>\n

Well done to everybody this weekend \u2013 a special mention must go to our son Charles who has \u2018come out of retirement\u2019 to make up a team for the Intermediate competition.\u00a0 At 24 years old, Charles has been through Uni and is now in full time employment as a mechanical engineer.\u00a0 However, his achievement this weekend proves that the skills for this discipline, learnt at an early age and through the school years, are not forgotten and can quite easily (albeit slightly rusty) be refreshed and used again in later years.<\/p>\n \r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n
