INTRODUCING LEARNING THEORY TO PONY CLUB TESTS

INTRODUCING LEARNING THEORY TO PONY CLUB TESTS
Tues 19 March 7.00 – 9.30pm
Upper Glyn Farm, Devauden, Chepstow NP16 6PN
This informative evening is being hosted by Curre Hunt Pony Club and facilitated by Chris
Brooks.
Chris has a Diploma in Equitation Science (learning theory and welfare) and has studied the
subject at Masters level.
She also has a Certificate in Applying the Five Domains Model to the Welfare Assessment of
Sport and Recreation Horses from the University of New England.
This is a great opportunity to get together and explore the coaching and assessment of the
Five Domains of Equine Welfare and Learning Theory, which as I am sure you are aware, is
integral throughout the 2023 Pony Club test syllabus.
The evening will start with an introduction to learning theory and the Five Domains. We will
look at the requirements for the 2023 syllabus and finish up with questions, discussion and a
glass of wine
You will be provided with a comprehensive list of resources to access further knowledge and
to use when coaching Pony Club members.
*Pony Club CPD points have been applied for for this event.
We look forward to seeing you!
