XC course building and Safety Day

Please find attached Flyer for Cross Country Course Building 3rd March 2020, the day will be presented by Andrew Hunter who is an extremely experienced BE Accredited Cross Country Course Builder.

This day is a MUST for anyone who is involved with designing and constructing XC courses within your branches – whether it be for One Day Events, Hunter Trials, or rallies and camps.

The day is being hosted by the Ledbury Branch who have kindly offered to provide a ‘chilli’ lunch for £6 a head – to be paid on the day, they will obviously need to know numbers in advance – so if you would like to order a lunch, please do so when making the booking with Horse Monkey.

Best wishes

Winter Series Competitions

Winter series Dressage and Showjumping (formerly known as Dengie) ………

For those of you raring to go over the winter why not have a go at the Winter league Competitions? Formerly known as the Dengie Series there are 3 levels of competition in each discipline so something to suit everyone. The branch and Area websites have been updated today and offer all the information that you need regarding Winter Series. Read the rulebooks (links given) to ensure that you know what you are doing and get out there and give it a go – don’t forget to let us know how you get on….. Locally, competitions are currently limited mainly to Triley, Talygarn and Sunnybank but more dates will be set in due course. Don’t forget however that you can qualify at any venue in ANY Area or the Pony Club so why not go over to King’s or Allenshill both of whom have dates scheduled in already. Check the Pony Club website regularly for updates and keep an eye on the Area 10 members group in Facebook. If you have any questions or need any help finding a suitable competition please get in touch with your DC who will be happy to help. 🙃

Update re Winter Series Dressage and SJ

Hi all,

As you are all aware Dengie are no longer sponsoring our Winter SJ & Dressage Series.

Having spent some time the past few weeks with the team here in the office and both Chairmen, it has been agreed that the series will continue in the usual format and be known as the WINTER SERIES*. (*We are hopeful a sponsor can be source and therefore this may be subject to change)

The Dressage and Show Jumping Pages have been updated recently with the Prelim Booking Form and Prelim Result Forms,  both of these are now fully online forms and there are a team here at the office who will be collating them.

I have attached the SJ rulebook for the 2019/2020 series. The changes from the last series have been clearly marked, please have a thorough read through.

It is our intention to source rosettes and qualification cards for Prelim Competitions – there will be a £1 levy on all entries, as per last series, to fund these.

We have introduced a £2 levy per entry for the Area Competitions, this will enable the office to continue to send all the rosettes and qualification cards for the Area Competitions in March.

Going forward we would like the Preliminary Competitions to take place from October-February (inclusive).

I hope this all makes sense, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Kindest regards,

Emma Holliwell
Development Officer
