2026<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The Pony Club National Triathlon Championships 2026 | Sunday 22 March 2026<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Area 13 sent a squad of 12 athletes from across our branches to Grantham, Lincs to compete against the best triathletes from across the UK.<\/div>\n
\n

In the Open Section we had a team of 3; Molly Wallis (Vine), Maisie Day (Garth South) and Trinity Clement (Petersfield).\u00a0 Maisie and Molly had a good day against very tough competition and held their own to finish 46th and 49th.\u00a0 Trinity had an outstanding day with an 840 shoot, brilliant 5.11 run and Best Swim of 10 lengths 15m to finish 2nd overall.\u00a0 The Open Team finished 14th.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Junior Team consisted of Sam Fidgen (HH), Max Myers (Chiddingfold), Amalia Nelson (HH) and Elin Rees (Garth South).\u00a0 All performed well under Championship pressure, showing some particularly good skills in the shoot.\u00a0 Elin had a great first Championship at Junior level with across the board scores to finish 8th individually.\u00a0 The Junior Team finished 13th.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Our Mini Team of Hetty Martin (Vine), Felicita Burnett (Vine), Theo Townsend (Lord Leconfield Hunt) and Flora Baggot (Lord Leconfield Hunt), nearly all competing at the Championship for the first time, were joined by individual Phillip Reeve(Vine).\u00a0 Mini Boys Theo and Phillip were 41st and 25th respectively and Mini Girls Felicita and Flora 51st and 46th.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Our star of the competition though was Hetty Martin.\u00a0 Hetty started the day with a blistering run of 3.14 for the 1000m to bag Best Run.\u00a0 Her shoot was good at 880 so she went into her last phase and the last heat of the day in 4th place.\u00a0 Hetty\u2019s swim was nothing short of mind blowing.\u00a0 Best swim in 2025 in the Mini Girls was 6 lengths 10m, Hetty swam an incredible 6 lengths 23m, some 23m ahead of the next best!\u00a0 Of course this secured her the win \u2013 Mini Girl Triathlon Champion, huge congratulations Hetty.<\/div>\n

A very big thank you to all the parents who drove up to Grantham, volunteered to help the event run, stayed to support all competitors to the end of prizegiving and thanked the organisers, it was a very late night for some.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Area 13 Pony Club Quiz Dengie Qualifier 2026 | Sunday 1 March 2026\u00a0 <\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Wow \u2013 what a fantastic day for Area 13!\u00a0 A HUGE<\/strong> thank you to our Area 13 Centre Representative, Sally Blackmore and her team, for organising such a brilliant event at the Millennium Centre in Liphook.\u00a0 Your hard work behind the scenes made the day such a success.<\/p>\n

And thank you as well to every single member, parent, grandparent, team manager and volunteer who gave up their time to create such a wonderful experience.\u00a0 Events like this simply wouldn\u2019t happen without you. Finally, huge thanks to our wonderful sponsors who donated prizes for our winners: Equivet, Pony\/Horse & Rider Magazine, E-Riders Online Dressage & Munstead Horse Trials!!<\/p>\n

We were thrilled to welcome 13 Mini Teams and 14 Junior\/Senior Teams from Branches and Centres across Area 13. The depth of knowledge on display was outstanding and a real credit to the hard work you have all put in.<\/p>\n

With a mix of ages \u2013 and some teams taking part for the very first time \u2013 every single one of you did an amazing job. You should be incredibly proud of yourselves!<\/p>\n
