‘Rallies are the back-bone of the Pony Club’
A rally is a structured supervised day where lessons are conducted on horse riding and horsemastership.
Day rallies usually take place in the school holidays between 10am – 3pm for the whole duration of the day. Children form friendships whilst having a picnic with friends. Day rallies will always have our on board catering crew where you will be able to taste the home made cooking and baking from our dedicated team of volunteers. we hold evening rallies during the Summer starting at 6pm and run through the eving for a couple of hours. We are extremely fortunate to have some fantastic venues which we are honoured to have exclusive use through membership of our branch. These are not available to the public.
The list of rallies for the year is pinned at the top of the closed Facebook page. Booking onto rallies is via ‘Horse Events’ via https://www.horse-events.co.uk/pony-club-rallies (If you select Calendar at the top of the page you will find a link to rally)
Information and details of the rally are released closer to the time of each rally date. Closing date for rallies is always 2 weeks before the rally with NO EXCEPTIONS.

The Pony Club Efficiency Tests enable members to learn progressively about horse and pony care as well as riding. They start at E and then D, D+,C, C+ etc and each test has a corresponding colour of felt which is worn pinned underneath the pony club badge. The tests are taken at recommended ages during certain rallies through the year. Full details of the tests can be found on the main Pony Club website but you don’t need to apply your instructor will tell you when your child is at the required level.
The Manual of Horsemanship is the ‘bible’ for everything you will learn at Pony Club, it is a very good idea to put this on your birthday/Christmas list so that you have a copy to refer to.
