You and your pony must arrive promptly and turned out correctly at all Pony Club rallies and clinics.

Correct dress is as follows;

– Hat (tagged). Colour black, blue, brown or navy.

– Hats for cross country must not have a fixed peak (jockey skull cap)

– Hair nets for long hair

– NO jewellery

– Body protector optional – but must be worn over ALL cross country fences

– White shirt/Polo Shirt and pony club tie

– Jacket or plain blue or pony club sweatshirt

– Jodhpurs. White, beige, navy, black or brown

– Long boots or short boot with chaps (no tassles) black or brown

– Clean, well fitting tack in good repair

These rules aim to ensure safety, comfort, smartness, and group belonging. If you have difficulty complying with them for any reason, please speak to a committee member in confidence and we will do our best to assist.

All animals must be adequately fit to perform the activities.

No stallions without written permission from the DC

No animals under 4 years

No lame, infirm, very thin or heavily in foal animals.

Behaviour

In the event that anyone is rude/disobedient or badly behaved they will be asked to leave the ride/venue. This applies to members and anyone accompanying them, please also see the Code of Conduct for Parents and Persons with Parental Responsibility.

Non riding children must be under direct supervision at all times, they must not ride bicycles, ponies or horses, play ball games, climb on, in or destroy equipment, or perform distracting activities within the vicinity of riders.

It is courteous to thank your instructor/host at the end of a session.

Please treat venues with care and do not leave litter/droppings/rubbish/hay etc PLEASE CLEAR UP AFTER YOURSELVES, we will lose venues otherwise.

Parents, please remember the instructor is giving the lesson. DO NOT join in. Please speak to your DC or Assistant DC if you have a problem.
