Banwen & District Pony Club, located in Banwen in the Dulais Valley. Banwen is a vibrant branch of The Pony Club, welcoming members aged 4 to 25. As one of the 330 Pony Club branches across the UK, it offers a community-driven, youth-focused programme centred on fun, friendship, horsemanship, and sport .

The branch runs regular rallies, camps, testing, and competitions across a variety of disciplines, including mounted games, dressage, show-jumping, polocrosse, eventing and tetrathlon. Training emphasis is placed on developing equine welfare awareness, rider safety, and lifelong skills. The club prides itself on nurturing confidence, leadership, resilience, and sportsmanship in a supportive and fun environment.

Members have opportunities to participate in official Pony Club tests and competitions, working toward badges and qualifications while forging lasting friendships. The branch is supported by volunteers, coaches, and a committee that ensures adherence to Pony Club rules, safeguarding policies, and insurance coverage for members .

Overall, Banwen Pony Club embodies The Pony Club’s mission: to provide an engaging equestrian experience where young people can grow personally, socially, and athletically while enjoying everything involved with ponies.
