Hunters Challenge

Casncelled – due to the weather.

Sunday 13th October 2019 – at Trefeinon Farm, Llangorse, Brecon, Powys. LD3 0PS

Hunters Challenge a continual round of Show Jumps and XC Fences starting with Fence 1-7
(show jumps), then proceeding out on to fences 8-16 (Cross Country) ending in the Arena for the
final fences, 17- 22 (arena X country).
CLASS 1 – Minimus pairs 50cm max, A course of show jumps followed straight on with X country ,
no arena. £20 Can be assisted
CLASS 2 – Minimus £10. Can be assisted
CLASS 3 – Novice 70cm max pairs £25 per pair
CLASS 4 – Novice 70cm max. £20. B+TPC £18
CLASS 5 – Intermediate pairs 80cm £25
CLASS 6 – Intermediate 80cm max £20. B+TPC £18
CLASS 7 – Open 90cm max, £20. B+TPC £18
All entries are subject to a non refundable booking fee of £1.35 per class
£5 refundable deposit for number bibs
Refreshments available
Medical cover on site
Rosettes to 6th place prizes for winners.

Withdrawals to be made by 9th October in order to obtain a refund (a small handling fee will be

Entries will be taken on the day, subject to availability, but there will be a £5 supplement per entry
per class.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Closing Date: All entries must be received by Wednesday 9th October . Entries may be
accepted on the day at the discretion of The Secretary, subject to a £5.00 supplement.
2. Withdrawals to info@horse-events.co.uk by Wednesday 9th October (a small booking fee will be
retained by Horse Events) There will be no refund of entry fees after this date.
3. Starting times will be allocated for all classes. Go to www.horse-
events.co.uk were times will be displayed.
4. The course will be open for inspection on Saturday 12th October from 2pm.5. All classes will be judged on a timed gate
6. Riding hats must conform to Pony Club Eventing Rules 2018. Hat tagging available on the
day ,Body protectors must be worn. Cross Country or Hunting Attire to be worn.
7. No horse / pony to compete more than once in any one class.
8. When not competing riders must ride in the designated practice areas and only jump flagged
fences, in the direction indicated.
9. Eliminated riders may continue at the discretion of the course
officials.
10. Only official vehicles will be allowed on the course.
11. Please take all your litter home with you.
12. The organisers reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any class
and to refuse any entry for any reason what so ever.
13. The organising committee of The Brecon and Talybont Hunt Ponyclub will not accept any
liability whatsoever for any injury, accident, illness or damage to
any horse, rider, spectator, or any other person or property.
14. All competitors will agree to abide by the rules of the competition.
15. All non Pony Club competitors are not covered by The Pony Club insurance and must have
their own third party cover. The Brecon and Talybont hunt Branch of The Pony Club and the
organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non Members and their insurance will not
cover you.
16. Litter & Horse Manure. Please take away your litter and please do not clean out your boxes in
the field, thank you.
17. Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and dog mess picked up taken home with you. Please
do not leave it for us to remove.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
The Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure that Health and Safety
of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take responsible
precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the
Organisers, all Officials and Stewards. Additionally those attending this Event must report any
accidents to the Secretary or Organiser of the Event. Property; Vehicle damage; Personal injury or
Personal illness
DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Save for the death or personal injury caused by negligence of the owners or anyone for whom they
are in law responsible, neither the Owners, nor Organisers of any Event held by Brecon and
Talybont Ponyclub nor any employee, or contractor accept any liability for any accident, loss or
damage, injury or illness to horses, ponies, owners, riders, spectators, vehicles their contents and
accessories, or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence,
breach of contract or in any way whatsoever.

The Brecon & Talybont Hunt Branch was established in 1958 and is part of Pony Club Area 10.
We hold an annual camp during the summer holidays and a two day mini camp, which are great fun.
Training sessions for Dressage, Cross-Country, Show Jumping, Polocrosse, Mounted Games and Tetrathalon.
We are so lucky to be able to hold all our events in the most breathtaking countryside.
