Membership
How To Join/Membership

We welcome new members of all ages between 3-25 years and of any experience. If you would like to see what we are all about before signing up, please contact the Secretary, DC or Assistant DC and we can arrange for you to come and watch a rally or training session. 

Membership runs on a 12 month rolling basis. Renewals and new memberships are now done online through The Pony Club Head Office but our membership secretary Julie Mulhern  juile@burghleyponyclub.co.uk  07702 869859 will be able to answer any questions you may have about joining us.

New Members

Download the membership form for 2020 here – Burghley Membership Form 2020 Please complete this until the 2021 one is issued. Please remember to fill in the gift aid section as it really does help with our funding. 

Once you’ve downloaded and filled in the membership form, return it to:

The Pony Club Central Office, Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, CV8 2RW (or email a scanned copy to membership@pcuk.org)

Membership includes third party liability insurance cover for you and your pony (please see puck.org website for full details of what is and isn’t covered by the policy).

Once you’re a member, don’t forget to join our Facebook Group– it is a closed group just for current parents, coaches and members, which means it is a great place to safely find out what’s happening, post pictures and keep in touch with other members!

Pony Club merchandise, including The Manual of Horsemanship, Pony Club tie, badge etc can be purchased direct from Pony Club here.  We no longer supply these through the branch.

Renewals

All renewals should now be done online via the pony club portal. You should have a received an email setting you up on the system from PC HQ –  if you have not received this please contact Julie Mulhern. It really is a simple process and much easier than completing the forms as we’ve had to do in the past. Again please remember to complete the gift aid section. 

You must  renew before attending any Pony Club Activities and we will be checking! 

  • Using the online portal, you will be able to check and update any contact details, add members and pay online.
  • You will not be able to change the branch or membership type (Riding or Non-Riding) – if you need to do this please contact Julie Mulhern to initiate the transfer process or membership@pcuk.org to change your membership type.
  • If you renew now and your membership expires on 31st January 2021 then your new membership will run until 31st January 2022.

From Pony Club HQ:

Individual Memberships (those with less than 3 riding members in the same household).

  • If you do not have a “family membership” (usually 3 or more riding members in the same household) then you will receive 2 emails with details of how to renew via the new online portal.
    • The first contains the renewal reminder and membership details.
    • The second contains a custom link to the portal. When you click this link you will be asked to enter a password.
    • This is a new online portal so create a new password.
    • You will then be asked to login with your username (the email address to which the renewal reminder was sent) and your newly created password.
  • Early renewal notices are being sent this year to try and phase out the renewal process for memberships expiring 31/01/2021.
  • A reminder to those who have not renewed will be resent the first week of January. Thereafter, reminders will be sent one month prior to renewal date, and then 2 weeks before if not renewed.
  • Using the online portal, you will be able to check and update any contact details, add members and pay online.

Family Memberships

If you have a family membership, or want to add members to create a family membership, you will need to download the membership form , complete the form and email to membership@pcuk.org OR by post to the address on the form.

Membership fees for 2021 remain as 2020:

Non-riding member £36; riding member £80 and family memberships £200 (up to 5 members in the same household).

Memberships will be for a 12-month period from the date of expiry.

Payments to The Pony Club office

Please note as of 1st January 2021 the office will no longer accept cheque payments for memberships. All payments will need to be via card either through the portal, details added to the membership form or by phone.

If forms and payments are sent via the branch for processing, it may still be possible to pay via cheque if the branch accepts them.
