With camp 2025 well and truly behind us BCF committee are already looking forward and planning camp 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Senior camp will be\u00a0Mon 3rd August to Thurs 6th August 2026<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Camp this year will be in BLOCK C and the cost will be advertised shortly. It will be 3 1\/2 days – 3 nights.\u00a0\u00a0Two bales of shavings and haylege included for duration of stay for horse\/pony – if you prefer to bring your own hay please speak to nicky or Lindsay (more shavings will be available pre camp at an extra cost)<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

All horses\/ponies must hold a passport and be fully up-to-date with their vaccinations. Somerford ask for vaccinations to be within 12 months and are strict on this requirement. All passports will be checked prior to camp.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Campers will be fed and watered for the duration of camp.  Please let us know if any known allergies. 
<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

NO MOBILE PHONES AT CAMP- there will be use of a mobile for any campers wishing to call home or vice versa at any point of camp.  
<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

Eligibility<\/strong> <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Residential 3 Day Campers must be about to enter school year 7 in Sept 2026, or above, upper age limit 25yr. All riding levels will be grouped according to age and experience. must Be 11yrs + (starting year 7 in September 2026 min no max age)<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Campers must be able to care for and tack up their horse\/pony independently.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Attended minimum TWO working rallies between Jan 2026 and June 2026 on the horse\/pony you intend to bring PLUS\u00a0New rule\u00a0<\/strong>– Campers MUST attend the July working rally.\u00a0\u00a0This will be an assessment rally for you to be allocated your ride groups.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Attended minimum TWO XC rallies held in June\/July 2026<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

ALL campers AND a parent\/ guardian MUST attend the Pre Camp meeting. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

If the you cannot attend the above riding elements you will be placed on a wait list.  Only campers who have completed all of the above and paid in full will be guaranteed a camp place.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Camp format will be senior campers and horses\/ponies coming into camp on the morning of\u00a0Mon 3rd August 2026. More details will follow nearer to camp.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

Junior camp<\/strong> 202<\/strong>6<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

This will be confirmed shortly<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

This will remain a\u00a0non residential<\/strong>. Ponies will stay overnight and be cared for.\u00a0\u00a0Campers will be fed for the duration of the two days.\u00a0\u00a0Campers will finish\/leave camp\u00a0at 430pm\u00a0approx\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

This is open to all those who want to come.  Any age or ability.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Eligibility requirements will be:-<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Must have attended minimum TWO working rallies PLUS compulsory July 2026 rally (as senior camp above)<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Any older member wishing to join senior camp but not wishing to be  residential WILL need to also have attended TWO XC rallies (as per senior camp) this does not apply to mini campers. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

We have limited places and once camp is full there will be a wait list opened. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

A non refundable deposit of \u00a3tbc will reserve a place<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

XC training dates will be on BCF calendar. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

We ask that campers provide\/share tents. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Booking for BCF camp will open on Entrymaster <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
