CHAMPS 26

CHS members headed down to OffChurch Bury to represent the branch at The Pony Club National Championships 2026.

We had teams and individuals represent the branch in Dressage, Eventing Mounted Games, Showjumping and Tetrathlon.

Dressage – Bobbi, Frankie and Pippa made up the CHS Novice Dressage Team. The girls riding wonderfully to place 7th out of 42 teams with Frankie winning her section and placing 3rd in the nerve-wracking ride-off. Well done girls, fabulous performances!

Eventing – Bethy was the sole eventing branch representative this year but that didn’t dampen her efforts and she joined other Area 5 members in the Area Eventing team placing 4th. This team also won the Team Sportsmanship Award! A credit to the branch and area. Well done!

Showjumping – We had a 90cm team of Elsie, Florrie, Holly and Olivia. After a 4am start the girls jumped incredible rounds to place 9th out of 60 teams, with Florrie placing 10th and Olivia 15th individually. What an amazing achievement for all the team and their horses!

Tetrathlon – CHS had representatives in the Junior, Intermediate and Senior sections this year; with teams in the Juniors and Intermediates. The Junior girls team of Eliza, Emily, Libby and Millie placing 5th with some very solid performances, the future looks bright for Junior Tet.
The Intermediate team of Bethy, Daisy and Polly placing 3rd and winning some very nice official Pony Club socks. Also a podium finish for Bethy, finishing 2nd individually. Very well done Bethy!!
Unfortunately no Senior team this year but some stellar performances from Sophie and Abby; with Soph getting best run and best swim! Roll on 2027!
