We have members aged from as young as 2 years up to 25 years – everyone is welcome!

The Clifton -on- Teme Hunt branch was established in 1953 and is part of Pony Club Area 9. We are a small friendly branch and welcome new members.

Our aim is to help promote the objectives of the Pony Club which are:

  • to encourage young people to ride and enjoy all kinds of sport connected with horses and riding.
  • to give instruction in riding and horsemanship and to educate Members to look after and take proper care of their animals.
  • to promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty to create strength of character and self discipline, health and wellbeing.

We run a regular programme of working rallies throughout the year and these are complemented by pony care sessions during which members have the opportunity to earn achievement badges and work towards their Pony Club tests. We also offer further training in the different disciplines for those who want to compete at any level.

Our members particularly enjoy the social events and these include farm & beach rides, Easter egg hunts and Halloween and Christmas parties as well as many other social activities that pop up throughout the year.

The highlight of the year for many members is Pony Club camp during the summer holidays. We run a 2 day non-residential camp for our mini members and a 2-3 day residential camp for junior and senior members.   Lots of riding, lots of fun and many lasting friendships are made.

On the following pages you can find our latest news, details of the latest activity programme & book a rally or training session. There is also lots of other useful information such as how to join our branch and details of local events and competitions.
