Local Equine Transport Companies:
The Committee are often asked about transport for members’ horses where either the member does not have their own transport, or the length of the journey would make it more cost effective to have two or more horses sharing i.e. to go to Area Competitions and team events.
We have therefore compiled a list of horse transporters that our members have used in the past in case it can be of use to current members.
Before making a booking please make sure you know where the show or event is being held together with the date, the time you must get there, whether you need the transport to stay for the event (it is very useful to have a trailer or box at a show ground but may add to the cost), and whether you require the trailer or box to bring your horse home, plus who will be travelling with the horse.
Also, and most importantly, get a quote from the transport company of your choice, well in advance of the date of travel, finding out whether they wish cash, cheque or can accept credit cards.
