Test Your Knowledge, Team Spirit, and Horsemanship!<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

At Cotswold Vale Farmers Pony Club, our members have the opportunity to take part in two fun and educational unmounted competitions each year \u2014 the Pony Club Quiz and the Area 9 Quiz.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

These friendly events are a brilliant way to develop your equestrian knowledge, teamwork, and confidence, while representing our branch.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

The Pony Club Quiz \u2014 Sponsored by Dodson & Horrell<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

This national competition gives members a chance to test their horse and pony knowledge in a relaxed and enjoyable team setting. Teams work together to answer a wide range of equestrian questions \u2014 from horse care and tack to the Pony Club\u2019s history and rules.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

The competition runs two sections simultaneously:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

 \u2022 Mini Section:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

 \u2022 Teams of four<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

 \u2022 Ages 10 years and under on 1st January of the competition year<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

 \u2022 At least one team member must be 8 years or under<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

 \u2022 Junior\/Senior Section:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

 \u2022 Teams of four<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

 \u2022 Two members aged 13 years or under<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

 \u2022 Two members of any age up to 25<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

It\u2019s a great way to learn, make friends, and enjoy some healthy competition!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\ud83d\udc0e Area 9 Horse & Pony Care Quiz<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Do you love practical pony knowledge and hands-on learning?<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

This exciting quiz is all about horsemanship skills and stable management. Teams move between different \u2018stations\u2019, each with a mix of theory and practical questions, designed around the Pony Club Efficiency Tests.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Each team has three members, and the competition runs at three levels:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

 \u2022 Minis:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Questions cover the E, D, and simpler D+ Test cards, along with Mini Horsemanship Achievement Badges.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

At the Championships, topics extend to the full D+ syllabus.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

 \u2022 Juniors:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Covers the D, D+, C and simpler C+ Test cards, plus Horsemanship Achievement Badges.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Championship questions may include Advanced Achievement Badges and the full C+ syllabus.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

 \u2022 Seniors:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Based on the C+, B and AH Test cards, with occasional AH level questions for an extra challenge.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

At each \u2018station\u2019, teams spend ten minutes answering practical or theory questions. Points are awarded per round, and in case of a tie, one round will be selected as the tiebreaker to decide the winners.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
