Show Jumping

At the Curre we are keen to support all members who want to improve their riding skills whether or not they want to go out and compete.

Show jump training or pole work is part of all our regular general rallies.  For those at C Test level and above, specific show jump training sessions take place regularly. Private or shared instruction is available.

The Curre is very proud of its growing reputation in show jumping!  2022 saw members qualify at the Area competitions and go on to represent the branch successfully at both the Regional and National Championships.

Past members of the branch have become international professional show jumpers, including recent Junior European team silver medallist James Winter.

Branch level

Show Jumping at all levels is included in many shows organised by PC branches in our region.  We try to keep members informed about dates and venues both within and outside Pony Club where they can get individual and team practice.  Team show jumping competitions are regularly held by various branches in our region and are great fun to do, especially over the winter months.

Spring Festival Show Jumping

The Pony Club Spring Festival Show Jumping competition has classes at PC90, PC100 and PC110 heights.

Preliminary Rounds are held throughout the country from autumn through to February for the PC80 and PC90 classes, with qualifiers going forward to the Area 10 competition in March.  PC100 and PC110 levels have direct entry to the Area. Here members can qualify for the Spring Festival Finals held in April at Arena UK near Grantham.  See for more information.

Area Show Jumping

The Area Show Jumping competition is held in June or July.  Teams from branches in Area 10 compete for qualifying places at the Pony Club Regional Championships (PC70 & PC80) or National Championships (PC90, PC100 & PC110) both of which take place in August.

Let us know if you would like to be included either as an individual or as part of a team!
