On the A38, heading southbound from Ivybridge towards Plymouth:<\/p>\n

Continue A38 past Lee Mill exit and take the next exit for Smithaleigh.\u00a0The road goes straight on through the hamlet of Smithaleigh, there is a petrol garage on your left.\u00a0 You reach a junction where you must stop. Go straight ahead over the junction (Do not turn left for Yealmpton, or right, for a bridge over A38 to Lee Mill village).\u00a0You are now on a short piece of road that will re-join the A38.\u00a0 It has a truck rest area on the left and the A38 on your right.\u00a0 Drive into the truck rest area all the way to the end of the truck rest area. Look left and you will see double timber entrance gates for Ford Farm (they may be open, if so you will see a large hard-standing yard area, with agricultural sheds just beyond.\u00a0 There is also a sign for the Farm.<\/p>\n

The gates operate electrically.\u00a0 If gates are closed you need to push the circular black button, situated on the right-hand side of the gates.\u00a0 Once through the gates, you must remember to close them by pushing the button on the inside of the gates.\u00a0 From the inside, a \u00a0grey button is situated on the left gate (at the left gates right side).Look to your left for the parking area.\u00a0 Parking is on the left hand side through the metal gate leading to a large hard-standing. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

When leaving Ford Farm you can turn right onto the road that goes back towards Smithaleigh and Yealmpton.\u00a0 Smithaleigh can be tricky with parked cars, so a better way if you need to head towards Ivybridge, can be to turn left and join the A38. The next junction is Deep Lane Cut, if you turn off here, at the top of the slip road you can turn right, go over the A38 then turn left, signposted Exeter, and re-join the A38 going towards Ivybridge.<\/p>\n

Please be aware that the site has no toilet facility currently accessible for members.<\/p>\n

Follow the A3121 for approx.1\/2 mile, turn right following the brown tourism sign for \u2018sign of the owl birds\u2019 Follow single track lane for approx. 0.3 miles until the second turning on right. At cross roads, turn right onto \u2018ridge road\u2019 Follow \u2018ridge road\u2019 for approximately 1 mile. Go straight on at \u2018Hillhead Cross\u2019 for approx. 1\/2 mile. Turn right at \u2018Toby Cross\u2019 and follow for 0.3 miles. Upper Lordswood stables is on the right.\u00a0 Accessed via a tarmacked sloping driveway leading to electronic wooden security gates.\u00a0 Please pull off the road to slightly sound your horn or contact Dom on 07525 471989 to\u00a0 advise that you have arrived.<\/p>\n

Coming from A38 Westbound\/ Kingsbridge <\/u> \u2013 please do not approach through Ivybridge! Stay on the A38, turn off at South Brent onto the B3372. Turn right, go under the viaduct and return onto the A38 from the Easterly direction as above.<\/p>\n

At the bend to the right there is a sharp left (dead end) and this leads directly to the RDA centre, The Brook.<\/p>\n

Coming from A38 Westbound\/ Kingsbridge <\/u>: take the A38 and turn off to Wrangaton, Kingsbrigde and Ugborough. At the top of the slip road, turn right over the A38 and immediately left following signs to Bittaford B3213. At Bittaford, take the first left signposted to Ugborough. Budleigh equestrian is the first turning on your right, about 200yds from the crossroads.<\/p>\n

Exit at Ivybridge. Take 5th exit on roundabout,\u00a0 go over the A38 flyover and follow the above directions from “Just before the slip road”.<\/p>\n
