The Deeside Pony Club was established in 1977 and is part of Pony Club Area 1. We are are a busy club offering training, competitions and a safe supportive environment to learn in, with some fun and laughter thrown in along the way. Our members, aged between 4 and 23 come from across Aberdeenshire, from the City of Aberdeen west to Ballater and Alford. We aim to offer all disciplines, Dressage, Show jumping, Eventing and Tetrathlon/Triathlon providing members with a chance to try new things and work our what they enjoy or excel in. Whether you are just starting out or wanting to compete at national level we are here to support you and your pony on your equestrian joruney.

We are very fortunate to have our field in Dinnet Estate where we have our own Cross Country fences ranging from 30cm to 1m. Plus we have ample space for dressage arenas, a show jumping and working hunter ring. All of which make our rallies and competitions more fun for our riders.

We have access to some brilliant instructors that cover all disciplines and strive to improve and help our members. We try to be consistent with our trainers to help trust and relationships build. In addition, we have access to fabulous training facilities that allow us to hold regular training throughout the year regardless of what the Scottish weather throws at us.

Within the local area we have a number of facilities that we can utilise during the colder winter months, such as Bogenraith Equestrian Centre at Durris, Aberdeen Riding Club at Nether and World Horse Welfare (Belwade Farm). These facilities also offer us some conference rooms to hold our badge nights and pony club test training.

We are a very friendly Branch and every Member has the same thing in common – a shared passion for ponies!  Our Members encourage and support each other along their individual horsemanship journey…while having lots of fun and making friends for life!
