The Duke of Buccleuch’s Hunt Pony Club offers our members the opportunity to attend Summer Camp (residential or day attendance dependant on age). These are a great way to really focus on your riding, meet new friends, learn new skills and above all have great fun!!

Summer Camp 2025

The Duke of Buccleuch’s Hunt Pony Club Committee are already busy planning for Summer Camps!

 

♦♦♦ To be eligible for Summer Camp the horse/rider combination must attend a minimum of 3 rallies together ♦♦♦

 

To help you plan we have already set the dates for the 2025 Summer Camps. We will upload more information here as we refine the details for each camp. If you are not sure which camp would be most suitable for your child then please get in touch and we can help guide you with the assistance of our Chief Instructor (age and ability are taken into account).

  • Mini Camp: 5-6 Aug 25 @ Whitelee by kind permission of the Mclay Family.

  • Midi Camp: 4-6 Aug 25 @ Whitelee by kind permission of the Mclay Family.

  • Junior Camp: 4-7 Aug 25 @ Rawflat by kind permission of the Galbraith Family.

  • Senior Camp: 8-10 Jul 25 @ Billerwell by kind permission of our Chief Instructor Sarah Hislop.

If you have any queries then please do get in touch and we will do our best to help.

Please familiarise yourself with the current Pony Club Regulations  to ensure your pony is correctly vaccinated (and in date) and your rider safety wear (hats, body protectors) complies with current standards.

Note: Riders are required to wear a Jockey Skull Cap and Body Protector (2018 standard) for Cross Country participation.

Calling all Campers…

Thank you to everyone who responded to our ‘shout out’ for initial show of interest in attending Summer Camp 2025. We were overwhelmed with your amazing response – we can confirm that Summer Camp remains highly popular and is clearly the highlight of the PC Calendar!!

Planning is well and truly underway now with bookings being made (stabling), Jump Making & BBQ in the diary, Instructors being identified, Senior Camp feeding arrangements being organised. It’s a busy time of year for the PC Cttee, so please do let us know if you can offer any help 🙂

Mini Camp at Whitelee (2 days) – LR And coming off the LR (6yrs & under) .

MIDI camp at Whitelee (3 days) – Assisted or off the LR. (5/6/7yr)

Junior Camp at Rawflat (4 days) – Off LR (7-11yrs)

Senior Camp at Billerwell (3 days) – Day camp attendance for younger members, older members can stay over.
