About Us

We hold rallies and other activities in school holidays and also sometimes at weekends and on summer evenings; each summer we organise three camps (junior, intermediate and senior). We have teams actively competing in show jumping, dressage, eventing, mounted games, tetrathlon and quizzes. Other activities include polo, pony racing and non competitive events such as picnic rides. We have recently added Polocrosse to our repertoire.

We organise training and testing for all the Pony Club tests from E to A. We also hold learning and activity mornings when members can work towards Pony Club Achievement Badges.

All our activities are organised and supervised by a voluntary committee chaired by our “District Commissioners “ Glennis Hockney &Lydia Roe.

The Committee

All Pony Club Branches are run by a committee of volunteers under the chairmanship of the District Commissioner. Committee members serve a three year term of office at the end of which they are asked if they are willing to continue for another term. If there are committee members who do not wish/are not able to continue, parents and friends of the Branch are invited to make nominations and the existing committee elects new committee members from among the nominees. Thus a new committee takes office each January. Please see the Contacts page for a full list of our committee members and their responsibilities.
