Pony Club Championships 2025

Day 4 of the Champs. We had Edie doing the Novice dressage and coming 8th in a very hard section – so well done Edie and then Thomas did the Individual 100 SJ and despite the A14 closure etc and therefore not being able to walk the course and arriving in a fluster he came 27th with an incredibly fast 2nd round. Well done both. Day 5 Champs. The Team 100 SJ. Our team of Ada, Eve, Jenna and Thomas started perfectly with a score of 0 in the 1st round. The 2nd round was much meatier with no teams getting 2xCs. We ended on 12 faults and finished 8th out of 50 teams which was brilliant. Eve did incredibly well riding Ada’s pony for the 3rd time only going 2xC – there were only 15 and Eve was the 3rd fastest of the day! We were 2 secs off coming 7th. So we are thrilled. Thanks Debbie for all your help and to parents who all got up very early. The Chairman’s Cup (CC) started ( a proper 2 day event) as well as the 90 individual Eventing. The trot up for the CC was early in the morning which Ada’s Mr Mike, Pip’s Moss and Jenna’s Xander all passed. Then they all did their dressage and in the afternoon their XC. Ada in the 90 also did a very good dressage and had 1 down in the SJ leaving her just outside the top 1. Today she went XC with a lovely C inside the time and she gradually climbed places until she WON. In the CC there were only 2 branch teams, the rest were area teams. After the dressage we were doing Ok but the dressage scores were all very close. In the XC Jenna glanced off a fence but otherwise went clear, and Ada and Pip both did fantastic clears with a few time faults. So by the end of yesterday Pip and Ada were 11th and 14th respectively. Today was the SJ which was very exciting. Jenna had 2 down so she ended the day 42nd, Ada had the last fence after a super round and ended 18th and when Pip went in to jump there was only 1 fence between the top 11. Moss and Pip did a spectacular clear so they went up to 8th which was excellent. Pip also got special commendation as she, in her last year in the PC had done all the Champs – Tet, Dressage, SJ and Eventing. And the team was 2nd so an excellent end to the champs 2025. Well done all. Thanks to parents for the ferrying and helping and huge thanks to Debbie for being there all through the week and to Sally for being my temporary right hand man again.
