Eglinton Hunt Pony Club is famous for its inclusion, we consistently put forward large volumes of teams in all disciplines, ensuring that everyone gets to experience this environment, especially at Areas and Championships.
Winning at champs, is definitely a pony clubber’s dream come true, most recently realised in 2018, when four amazing and unsuspecting young Eglinton team members, WON at the Land Rover Regional Championships, stewarded by Stewart Christie.
Our current DC was one of winning team members, MUM, she recalls the other Eglinton team members, their parents, the entourage and coaches all staying for the prize giving, despite the weather and the long trip home. They cheered the LOUDEST!!
What a feeling of pride and support and literally once in a lifetime. #TEAMEGLINTON, so remember, always stay for prizegiving, together we are MIGHTY.
We have most recently put teams forwards for Dressage, Show jumping, Eventing, Mounted Games and Tetrathlon. However, if you would like to help develop new sports within the club then please get in touch! Area 19 also offer a wide range of activities – keep an eye on the Area 19 Pony Club Facebook page.
To compete on any competition you must be “rallied in”, which means you must have attended 3 rallies within 1 year of the Team competition. Exceptions of this can be assessed by the DC in conjunction with instructors.
Eglinton prides itself on inclusion, where ability and health and safety allow.
We aim to put forward as many teams as possible, this objective, often means we select based on an administrative basis. If you wish to put forward any considerations to the Discipline Coordinator, please do so well in advance of the entries. We appreciate being in teams with your friends is always FUN, but please always respect the decision of the Coordinator.
At present the only formal Team selection process is for Mounted Games, please refer to the Mounted Games Policy for more details
For specific dates for Area 19 competitions please keep an eye on the calendar
