Please find below a summary of what to wear and when.

N.b. Area competitions and Gosling Cup have their own dress codes and team members will be informed.

Pony Club Prize Giving – You must be correctly dressed in your competition riding clothes, even for unmounted prize giving’s and must also wear your riding hat with the chin strap fastened.

Working Rallies:

The rider should be clean and tidy wearing the following clothing: Approved riding hats (must have valid hat tag) with a black velvet/silk. Approved body protectors for XC are mandatory. Sleeved white or blue collared shirt, Pony Club tie, hacking jacket with Pony Club badge. Black, brown, white or navy riding gloves. Beige/cream jodhpurs (no coloured jodhpurs). Black or brown long boots or jodhpur boots with half chaps or jodhpur clips. Long hair must be secured safely in a bun and hairnet to avoid becoming tangled and causing scalp injuries. No jewellery (including earrings). A suitable waterproof jacket for wet weather Warm jacket can be worn for stable management Ponies should be clean but need not be plaited. Tack Saddle and bridle should be black or brown Numnahs, saddle cloths and girths should be black, brown, white or navy and should have no coloured bindings

Long hair must be secured safely in a bun and hair net to avoid becoming tangled and causing scalp injuries. No jewellery (including earrings). Ponies should be clean but need not be plaited. Tack: As required and ideally wearing a neck strap.

COMPETING CROSS COUNTRY, POLO & MOUNTED GAMES

The Enfield Chace team colours for Polo and Mounted Games are emerald green and golden yellow and for Cross Country Burgundy  However, the respective discipline manager will advise what to wear and when, so please speak to them when you first participate.  Kit can be purchased from Tyler’s Horse & Country (see above link).
