Safeguarding<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The Pony Club has a statutory duty to protect children and safeguard their welfare. Participants in Pony Club activities are entitled to expect a safe and enjoyable environment.<\/p>\n

Essex Farmers Safeguarding Officer is Kirsten MacKay<\/span> (please see Contact Us<\/a>).\u00a0 If you have a concern about a safeguarding issue at an Essex Farmers event, please let the instructor or attending committee members know, and they will assist or contact our Safeguarding Officer.<\/p>\n

If you feel there is a child or adult at risk in immediate danger, you are advised to contact your local Social Care Service or the police immediately.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Please ensure you are aware of the role of Parents and Volunteers<\/a> at Pony Club.<\/p>\n

Health & Safety<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The Pony Club takes the health & safety of our members extremely seriously. Whilst we understand that there will always be some risk involved with equestrian activities, we must reduce injuries as far as we can.<\/p>\n

Committee members undertake Pony Club specific Safeguarding and\/or Health & Safety training as required for their voluntary roles.<\/p>\n

Essex Farmers Health & Safety Officer is Catherine Ablott<\/span> (please see Contact Us<\/a>). If you have a concern about a health & safety issue at an Essex Farmers event, please let the instructor or attending committee members know, and they will assist or contact our Health & Safety Officer.<\/p>\n

Risk Assessments are undertaken for every venue that is used for Essex Farmers events.\u00a0 In the event of an incident (which results in no injury or damage to property), an instructor or attending committee member wil complete our Essex Farmers online incident form.\u00a0 In the event of an accident (which results in injury or damage to property), an instructor or attending committee member will be recorded using the Pony Club online accident reporting platform.<\/p>\n
