Spring Barrier Health Festival Dressage Championships – Feb 2024

On Saturday 24th February 2024 two of our members travelled to Arena UK to compete in the Grassroots section of the Pony club Spring Barrier Festival Dressage Championships.

Grace Hotham and Sophie Feeney both qualified at the Area competition held in December 2023 at Boyton Hall.

The Grassroots class is new for 2024 and encouraged high entries in the qualifier so had a large and very competitive entry of nearly 40 children in each of the two sections at the Championships.

Grace did a lovely test and finished 20th in her section. The scores were incredibly close with only 2 marks between Grace’s and the winner’s scores!

Sophie placed 19th in her class, having stepped off the ferry at Dover that morning and driven straight to Arena Uk!

Arena UK was very busy with the dressage, show jumping and arena eventing championships all happening over the course of the weekend. Both Grace and Sophie said they both really enjoyed the experience, the show had a fantastic atmosphere and was well worth the drive!
