Novice One Day Event
Our Novice One Day Event was held at Water House Farm on Wednesday 21st August, thanks to the gracious hospitality of Richard and Gillie Cranfield. Under a perfect sky of clear blue and warm sunshine, we enjoyed a day surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the farm.
We were thrilled to welcome over 40 competitors of all ages and abilities, from eager young riders as young as 5 to seasoned members up to 17 years old, with some competitors tackling their first ODE with determination and leaving with beaming smiles and remarkable placements. The day was designed to be a celebration of inclusivity, offering a range of activities from dressage-only classes to cross-country courses ranging from 30cm to 85cm.
A special shout-out goes to Imogen Low, who dazzled us all by winning the prestigious Essex & Suffolk Penfold Cup.
Many thanks to Nicole Bisson and Hannah Wood who ran the event for the first time who said that they were deeply moved by the outpouring of support and hope to build on this foundation and make next year’s event even bigger and smoother, thanks to the continued enthusiasm and dedication of everyone involved.
Here’s to the incredible team spirit and enthusiasm that made the day so special – it was a testament to the true essence of our Pony Club community.
